Hmmmm, Queasy Infamey to step down during IRS investigation of his organization.

Hmmmm, Dan Blather to step down during investigation of his forgery scandal.

Do we have a parallel universe here?

I think when Bush snubbed the speaking invitation to appear at the NAACP convention without a serious backlash, the writing was on the wall that this organization had finally lost any claim to be an independent advocate for black interests.
Everyone now recognizes that, like the Teamsters Union is run by gangsters, the NAACP has been taken over by the Democratic Party. Now, it's primary role is to keep the black voters on the Democratic Party plantation as a dependable voting block.
The NAACP must re-examine it's mandate and re-dedicate itself to it's original goals or it will be replaced by newer, more relevant groups.

"Last month, the NCAAP announced that the Internal Revenue Service was reviewing the organization's federal tax-exempt status. NAACP chairman Julian Bond said the investigation stems from a July speech he gave that was critical of President Bush. Tax-exempt organizations are required to remain nonpartisan."

One of the first bills our new congress should pass is a new bill that very clearly states any political partisan activities by any Tax-exempt organizations will result in loss of Tax-exempt statuts for 10 years. The board members and directors of any Tax-exempt group would be responsible in both criminal and civilian courts for the violation. If found guilty, they could go to jail and lose what they own in civil courts in damages. If the Tax-exempt group is guilty of more than one violation, their character is permanently revoked, and their board members and directors are banned from ever serving on any future non profit board.

He's probably frustrated by people he knows heading for a non-racist party.

In related news: The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People will undergo a name change to the National Association for the Advancement of Liberal People and will begin accepting applications for membership from "other than colored people."

"We need someone who can stand up to the likes of Condoleeza Rice, Clarence Thomas, Walter Williams, JC Watts, Colin Powell and others so that colored people can have a chance and make some strides in this racist nation of ours" Mfume was overheard saying just prior to his announcement.

The president of the NAACP is stepping down as head of the nation's oldest and largest civil rights group, according to newspaper reports.

Hmmm....and I thought the NRA was "the nation's oldest and largest civil rights group". You learn something new everyday!
