They would be tying themselves to a corpse.

Then again maybe they want a Mexican 'Bomb' called Montezuma's Revenge.

What the hell is wrong with Mexico and others willing to trade with Iran? I just don't get how naive these leaders are. Without any doubt...Iran will nuke Israel the first chance they get and then it's (Iran) obvious destruction will de-stabilize the entire world. Especially if China hangs with Iran...and Russia with China. None of this is good...

Just got back from shopping and grabbing all I could find from the shelves:

Send Iran some of Mexico's finest street cartinas or tacos with their water for a chaser, they'll learn what "monezuma's revenge" is. Maybe Iran will reconsider!

Mexico is diving into bed with China, Russia and now Iran.

I dare say another, more decisive war to eliminate the Mexican threat once and for all be undertaken.

A lot of problems would be resolved, others would be clarified and new ones created, I'm sure.

But, what's the (potential) cost to America today?

It's an attempt at blackmail.

That's the way I see it, too. This is going to be the theme of the coming decades, I'm afraid. Mexico's government is horribly corrupt and has been for centuries. Why we cowtow to them the way we do is beyond me.

Iran has a nuke, America said they can't and now Mexico is siding with Iran.

We need a new hemispheric understanding IMO.

Oh, yeah, FTAA is on the way.

I am seeing people lining up for the next war. This is a very dumba$$ thing for the Mexican government to play with. We should collapse the Mexican economy if they want to be on the wrong side.

Back in 1984, there was a movie called "Red Dawn", which was about the US being invaded by a Communist army which came up via Mexico (The Russians had taken over Nicaragua, used that as a springboard to take over Mexico, then used Mexico as a staging area). The bulk of the movie is about a bunch of SouthWest teens organizing a guerilla group against the reds -- it drove the leftist movie reviewers nuts. (DVD available on Amazon.com)

I don't remember Mexico being so pushy before Vincente Fox arrived on the scene. Or maybe I wasn't paying attention.

How long is his term, anyway?

I saw Red Dawn a number of times.

How about this for a plot change to that movie: Replace the Soviet troops jumping into the middle of America with cargo containers full of PLA troops from China. Arm them with chem and bio weapons, and have them get out of their containers simultaneously in ports all across the US.

The American left would be their local support, and they would be backed by Russian nuclear launch threats if we didn't surrender.
