Ohio To Go Through Statewide Vote Recount After All(Gag)
WCPO CINCINNATI ^ | 11/16/04 | AP STORY

Posted on 11/16/2004 2:42:43 PM PST by dinok

A statewide recount of the presidential vote appears inevitable after a pair of third-party candidates said they have collected enough money to pay for it.

The recount would be conducted after the election results are certified in early December.

Libertarian Michael Badnarik and the Green Party's David Cobb said on Monday they raised more than $150,000 in four days, mostly in small contributions.

Ohio law requires payment of $10 per precinct for a recount, or $113,600 statewide.

Badnarik and Cobb said they aren't trying to overturn President Bush's 136,000-vote victory in Ohio, but just want to ensure that all votes were counted properly in the face of concerns about Election Day irregularities.

The 'principled' Libertarians are in denial that the 'political' Libertarians are just tools and shills for the Socialists.

They'll take it to the courts. With Rehnquist not being able to participate, I don't want to think what a 4-4 Supreme Court would do.

The Big-L Libertarian Party has more in common with Party than with Libertarian. They should be the Party Party, or something. Heh.

At least those of us in Florida won't be the scapegoats of the Dems this round.

Algore was looking for 1000 votes and could only come up with several hundred in heavily Dem counties.

But the agony of watching the buffoonery of folks discerning "hanging chads" was almost more than one could bear, and I hate to think that any state has to repeat the process.

Considering this is going to cost the state of Ohio $1,500,000{according to Blackwell}, this is truly a waste for the people of Ohio. As to those so-called "hearings" in Columbus where people complain about fraud and intimidation, they are run by Election Protection Coalition an affiliate of People For the American Way. You can't get much more left-wing then that.

When the election lasts a month, its easier to cheat. When ballots sit around on the floor in boxes for a month, well.....

There is an unwritten rule that applies when there's a tie in the ruling of the U.S. Supreme Court: God Almighty casts the deciding vote.

When all the Dem precincts are shown to have all kinds of voter registration irregularities and Bush ends up winning Ohio by 200K votes instead of 130K, will CBS air the results?

The reality is that there are 93,000 spoiled votes waiting to be creatively interpreted by socialists in addition to 155,000 provisionals. It's unlikely, but it's not an impossible scenaro by any means. This whole strategy depends on the RNC not noticing them giggling as they tally all the doublevotes and fraudulent ballots for Kerry... Sigh...

To clear up a couple things

1. The Recount can only happen AFTER they certify, if its not within the Margin that starts an automatic recount.

2. This is not a taxpayer issue. They raised the money by the idiot DU'ers.

3. SOS Blackwell said it might not be ceritified till Dec 6th, so they might not have time for the recount.

4. 93,000 votes that were undervotes were on punchcards! Help! I fear the chad issue will come up again.

Good.

'Cause, you know...

They thought they'd be angry if Bush won...

But...

If there really is a sleath attempt underway by the DNC under the cover of 3rd parties to steal the election, we'll show them the meaning of the word anger.

This cannot be tolerated.

The fee required for the recount is only 10% of the actual cost. Taxpayers are paying for 90% of this idiocy.
