This thread honors the service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces, and reminds us of why we here at home can go about our daily business in peace. Street-to-street is the toughest type of warfare. Air cover is being flown by pilots from the USS John F. Kennedy, as well as the U.S. Air Force from bases in the area.
BTTT!!!!!!!
Get some, Marines!! I'm so proud of what our soldiers and their Iraqi Army counterparts are doing in Fallujah. The good people who live there will be able to return to a town where they don't have to worry about foreign thugs killing at random.
Dynamic-entry bump!
Once again, an opportunity for those not familiar with the official Marine Corps. site, OIF section here it is:

A most outstanding thread!!!! Thank you for putting this together.
God Bless our brave Troops. And God, please do what you can to help our brothers and sisters...... and get them home, and back to their loved ones.
This is a great tribute to our brave soldiers! They deserve our support and prayers!
BTW - I just heard a great idea:
Why not have an American 24hr. cable channel report on the triumphs of the Iraq and Afganistan war. The MSM is stuck on only exposing bad news, and highlighting the poor morale of a handful of soldiers...as if they represent the entire force. It would be fair to the mission and the soldiers if we shared the other (positive) side.
Sound good or what?
God Bless and Protect our Military,
no matter where they are stationed
or job description.
Amen Tonk! AMEN.
God be with the parents of these two very brave souls. I hope they can take comfort in the fact that their sons were doing what they thought the best thing for their buddies who are also in danger and for their country. Pray for the troops who are over there in Iraq in such dangerous territory and for our troops around the world who protect us from unimaginable horrors were the enemy come to our shores again!! Pray for our President who has to make the hard decision to send men like these to the dangerous corners of this earth, and does so, I am sure, with a heavy heart and with love for all of them and us!
Father, I lift up the brave men and women to You.
Guide our support personnel, that they may make the right calls and put out the right information to these men on the ground;
Be with our troops in harms way, that they will feel You fighting with them and for them;
Shield the wounded with Your Hand, that they may be comforted;
Gather the dead in Your Arms, and gently carry them Home.
In Jesus name I pray it...

Real heroes. God protect them.
The likes of John Kerry, Ted Kennedy, and the other super-rich Dems would scream like stuck pigs if we tried to pay the folks in our Armed Forces what they're really worth. Yet not of those "honorable" senators ever consider not taking their salaries and pensions, which they don't need.
"Actually, what we need to do is cut the salaries of our congress-critters and re-channel that money to pay our Armed Forces."
Amen to that!!! All congress does is sit on their fat bu**s while these young men and women are taking the heat and the bullets to keep them safe! It really is outrageous!
Awesome pics!
God Bless our fighters in Iraq!
You mean those future dinner?
I noticed that. Do you think they were found that way? Or do you think the Marines do that while, ummmm, patting them down?
