"Merry Christmas" does not mean "Convert or die."

LOL! Thanks so much. You just perfectly summed up the frustration over this absurd practice.

BTW, I homeschooled my son until he was 13 yrs old. The only reason that I then enrolled him in school was that his Dad passed away and I had to work to keep us afloat. When they "tested" him, he was way above grade level and the school psychologist told me that she had "never met a more well adjusted child". That blows your theory away that homeschooled children are lacking.

Amazing isn't it! It comes back to the old adage, "Those that can Do, those that can't teach". LOL

False... But I'll state: I am pro-choice, libertarian,

YOU ARE NOT A libertarian. Don't ever besmirch libertarians by claiming it. YOU ARE A LIBERAL.

an agnostic Jew who doesn't believe that Jesus ever existed and even if he was he wasn't the messiah...

You have already said this numerous times. Who cares? Lots of liberals are agnostic, and some are also nominal jews, not real Jews who love God.

I am not a marxist but a follower of Hayek and Friedman, who I am sure you won't call marxists (if you ever knew who they are)..

I know who they are, in fact I personally know Friedman, you are no follower, You are a liberal.

AND AS I am not nor ever was nor ever will be a christian, you cannot throw at me christian morality, which find lacking in reason. You can buy the theological package for yourself, I don't buy it.

No one asked you to, you can go to hell if you choose. It's not my call.

Understood?

I understand you are a liberal and are lying about being a libertarian.

YOU ARE NOT A lIBERTARIAN.

"Well, until the 70s the French schools on which the Prussian were based were admirable for the education you got there. "

You totally missed the point about the Prussian school legacy.

The Prussian school system was not founded for teaching and instruction, it was founded for indoctrination. The fact that the public schools in the U.S. are doing so little teaching and instruction now but they are still doing indoctrination and trying to solve all of society's ills hearkens back to the roots of the public school system, i.e., the Prussian model of indoctrination and societal change.

" My fear is only that they're a little too coddled which can lead to self centeredness. "

I agree on that point. I have met a couple of these isolated kids and that's what they are, isolated when they don't have a group of peers to learn peer socialization skills with. The one teenage male I met has a rather flip/arrogant attitude towards adults. I tried to have light conversation with him and found him to be somewhat rude, detached and nonengaging. Hopefully this won't carry on over into his adulthood because it will hurt his career socialization skills unless he becomes self employed, a solo consultant. There are pros and cons in most scenarios. Trying to find the balance is the challenge.

Conpletely false: if the fetus dies, the man can get damages. If the woman dies, then it is a life for a life...

I always thought that people who try to interpret the Bible should try to learn hebrew, not start preaching about something they don't understand...

After all as the Italians say, Traduttore, Traditore!

This troll reminds me of someone at DU. I once singed up to discuss tax issues over there and got intangled with a female econ professor. She claimed that tax cuts didn't have an effect on the economy. Amazing.

Did she end... every sentence... with an ellipsis... and pepper her writing... with exclamations!!! making her writing... difficult to read... and very unprofessional looking? If so, it might be the same person.

"I want to do a survey on how often everyone here is bullied on a regular basis. I was bullied through high school."

I was bullied quite a bit in high school, mostly physical or verbal, but so was most of the students. Not much bullying in college, except for a few self-righteous professors in the verbal sense.

In the working world people try to bully you all the time but usually just in the verbal sense or the power play.

Bottom line is that being bullied in high school didn't teach me how to deal with it any better because all they told us to do was shut up and take it. And that just brings on more bullying.

if the fetus dies, the man can get damages

If it has no value then why would one get damages ? BTW, there are other scriptures that do not require death penalty for accidental deaths. I assume you read these to mean the person wasn't living. In any case you again avoid many issues you have no answers for. You avoided the fact that for a math professor you base your conclusion on logical errors and in this debate over abortion you do not adress the simple scripture that God knows us before we were born. How can you refute that ?

Makes me think "you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything". Must be a good contry song in there somewhere.

I'm not concerned with what some kids at school say to my kids because my kids know what they stand for. "Raise up a child in the truth and they won't depart from it".

Great examples! Also, Libertarians believe in the freedom to educate as the parents see fit for their own children.

If the woman dies, then it is a life for a life...

That's not what it says, I highlighted the words for you. It says if the woman suffers serious injury.

You interpret what you want to defend your murderour past.

AND NEVER CLAIM YOU ARE A iLIBERTARIAN. I refuse to be besmirched.

I am a libertarian. I am not a Libertarian (member of a political party).

I would be happy to tell anyone who wants to know what that means. The person in question has been exposed as a liberal and now says she is a libertarian because she knows that libertarians are often conservative on issues and are even respected on this forum by most, even if they are disagreed with on some subjects.

She tries, but it won't work. SHE IS NOT A LIBERTARIAN.

I found the best response to a bully is a well placed fist to his nose. I always put everything I had into the first swing and usually didn't need a second. Sometimes I got my tail kicked but most of the time I was respected afterward.

Now as an adult, I just look at them, shake my head and say "like your opinion counts for anything".

Hey, Pitiricus, what about the links to the studies that prove you dead wrong?
