"I can't believe I'm losing to this idiot," said presidential candidate John Kerry when he learned he was losing in the polls.
This statement shows why Kerry got wiped out during the latest election.
Most Americans do not find the president stupid. The "West Wing's" Martin Sheen, after the 2000 election, pronounced the president "a moron." Teresa Heinz Kerry called anyone who disagreed with her husband's health care plan "idiots." "The Boondocks" cartoonist Aaron McGruder called the president "functionally illiterate."

Misunderestimated again. Bummer for Kerry.
I still can't believe that lib/dem idiot thought he could win.
That IS classic! Especially with all the beer in the background!
i hope he runs again and again
Liberals mostly.
Humility doesn't preclude identifying moronic things, but it should cause a little hesitation before pulling that trigger.
Mr. Kerry complained about a Secret Service agent who caused him to fall while skiing. My guess is that MR. Kerry is one of those people who go through life needing to be embarrassed without knowing it.
Not me.....the witch must be driven out, once and for all. She's up next in '08. You too can join me in my new project to be established in '07 - I'm calling it "Operation Unfortunate Wife."
Leftists are so convinced of their superiority they simply can't grasp the idea of being outsmarted by a conservative.
agreed, i hope they all run in 08, especially shrillary, mostly shrillary
He didn't win because he did not get enough votes. He didn't get enough votes because Americans are smarter than he gave them credit for being.
There were lots of reasons not to vote for Kerry, too numerous for me to mention, but I believe the most outstanding reason was his waffling on Iraq. Take every soldier in the military, add his or her families, relatives and friends, and that alone is a substantial voting bloc. We can thank the Swift Boat veterans for bringing the truth out and give a round of applause for our military who didn't let the Kerrys and Moores of the world lower their morale. And of course, kudos to our President who didn't waller in the dirt with them.
The guys nothing but a two-bit phony with the one thing that might beat Bush....his oratory skills.
It's the only reason I believe the party selected him. His congressional record stinks. His anti-Vietnam War campaign hurt a lot of people. He's a man who simply doesn't care about you or me or our soldiers.
And his wife is "AN IDIOT" who could care even less.
He lost because he was no damn good.
That simple.
It is in the Newsweek article that was released on Nov 3, the behind-the-scenes piece.
It was posted at MSNBC. The title was "Trench Warfare".

Well said!
A lot has been made about "moral values" being the number one issue and Karl Rove did note that this issue rose from 16% to 22%.
But it isn't true that "moral values" was the number one issue. Look at the poll numbers again:
moral values (22 percent)
economy/jobs (20 percent)
terrorism (19 percent)
Iraq (15 percent).
The people who did this poll for the MSM are no doubt liberals because liberals don't want people to know that fighting in "Iraq" the fight against "terrorism" and are THE SAME ISSUE. Iraq is an itegral part of the War on Terror! If you add the percentages of the two you get 34%. So terrorism/Iraq was by far the most important issue for the voters.
Why did I vote for Bush? Many reasons but the main one is that Kerry scared the hell out of me! I think he would have abandoned Iraq the way he abandoned South Vietnam and he wouldn't have done a bloody thing to stop an attack before it happened. He'd just hope the FBI or CIA would stubble on to something.
Remember Lt Columbo? He acted like a bungling detective around his suspects. His suspects became careless and they were ultimately arrested. Columbo was a sly detective.
President Bush is a sly leader. Kerry underestimated W's strengths. Checkmate. Kerry is the stupid idiot here and so were his advisors. Thank goodness Kerry was not elected. Our enemies would gloat as if it was a major military victory. Kerry and his simplistic followers can be too easily mislead. They were over confident.
Now get out of the way liberals. Time to play politics the Republican way!
First, what would have happened if Rather's forgeries had been better? All it would have taken was digging up a real typewriter from some junk closet at CBS and type the "TANG memos" instead of laser printing them. There would have been no Buckhead pointing out how bad the forgeries were. That would have gotten some swing voters believing that the president was a draft dodger and didn't complete his air guard service.
Second, if the NY Times kept their trap shut and allowed CBS to release the lost explosives story on the Sunday before the election we wouldn't have had sufficient time to refute it. There would have been no arguments on whether the explosives were there at all, no time for army officers to be interviewed, and not time to point out that we had already destroyed 400,000 tons so the questionable explosives would have only been 0.1% of that anyway.
We dodged a bullet on this. Imagine if the press had been a little better with their propaganda and if Kerry had any charisma at all. He could easily have been elected.
