Hmmm. I heard this program. Kind of funny but I think this team likes to just stir up conflict for the business it gets them.

As a Californian, I say no thanks. On the county map a great deal of this large state is not blue. We could just annex the coastline.

If they are going to secede, they should do only secede the coastline. The 'heartland' of California, as well as in other so-called Blue States, all voted for Bush.

This simply can't be right. Everyone knows that it is Bush who is the divider. <\sarcasm>

uh, 3 of the four upper midwest 'blue states' were only that way due to voter fraud. Illinois is only a blue state because of cook county. Plus several of them have republican legislatures.

They couldn't keep an island of blue in a sea of red. Just not feasible. So the only logical outcome would be them losing the entire midwest region and the great lakes. All the libs can relocate to the east or west coast.

Also, PA is a red state that has been stolen by libs in big cities. It will go red, too.

These dopes are, as usual, not capable of thinking beyond themselves. They seem to have forgotten not one but TWO groups other than their little KerryEdwards Happy Fun Time Gang:

1. Republicans living in the blue states (like me) who have no intention of going anywhere, or of letting these morons go anywhere with OUR states, and:

2. Those who didn't vote yet who live in the blue states. This is a sizeable number of folks who I have not seen mentioned even ONCE in these discussions. If they don't care enough to vote, they sure don't care enough to succeed.

But then, the DUmmies can only think of themselves and their enemies in that black-and-white kind of thinking they accuse everyone else of having.

Let us not forget that most of Michigan went for Bush. It was Detroit that carried Michigan for Kerry.

This is the predictably infantile, anti-intelliectual response from the Dems. Much like the precocious five year old who throws a hissy-fit after losing at a party game and stomps home, with this insanity they further cement their image to the rest of the country as spoiled, non-introspective brats who look to the Quebec secessionist movement for inspiration as the best way to run a nation. My hope is that they keep on with this for the next four years, as it will allow the Republicans to coast to an easy, nearly-uncontested victory.

Some would say, 'Oh, poor Alabama. It's cut off from the wealth infusion that it gets from New York and California,' " said Lawrence O'Donnell, a veteran Democratic insider and now senior political analyst at MSNBC. "But the more this political condition goes on at the presidential level of the red and blue states, the more you're testing the inclination of the blue states to say, 'So what?' "

Well, we've tried cutting their taxes, but their Senators voted it down.

The notion of a wealth transfer from blue to red is because when the Federal Government makes purchases, it must do so in places that actually produce something tangible (that certainly wouldn't be NY, NJ, CT, VT, HI, DC, MD, or MA), while defense activites are credited to those states that host military bases - mostly red states. On the other hand, lots of corporations are incorporated in DE and NY, so they get credit for corporate taxes not really earned there. And the choice of large numbers of wealthy people to live in NY, LA, SF, BOS, CHI, NJ, and CT is the other reason they pay an excess of taxes, not because they are more productive.

"In a telephone interview, Mr. O'Donnell said the red states that went to Mr. Bush "collect more from the federal government than they send in. New York and California, Connecticut — the states that are blue are all the states that are paying for the bulk of everything this government does, from ... Social Security to everything else, and the people in those states don't like what this government is doing."

If the blue states would keep their old people this wouldn't be the case.

Assuming they could actually pull of this utterly laughable idea, how would they defend themselves? The Great Pink Fleet? The Army of Homeless Dopers? The UN? King Kofi the Kleptocrat? The Coalition of the Fabulous (to borrow a Coulterism)?

Wow! These folks' cheese has done sild off their collective cracker!
