As the Kerry campaign disintegrates into oblivion, the finger pointing in the Democratic ranks has already begun.
The New York Post's must-read Page Six reports that numbers of notable figures in the 2004 campaign are being roasted by party insiders.
These include:
# Alexandra Kerry: The paper said John Kerry's daughter "made a splash at the Cannes Film Festival last spring when she appeared on the red carpet in a see-through dress."
Campaign "insiders snipe that all she did was rack up major expenses. 'She had an entourage of five people with her everywhere she went.' A hairdresser, makeup artist, publicist and two assistants. It ended up costing something like $8,000 a month. And she didn't exactly do anything."
# Sean Puffy Combs: The rap mogul made national headlines with his "Vote or Die" effort to get young voters to register and vote. But they never materialized at the polls.
"He was just a nuisance," the Post quotes one Kerry aide as saying. "The whole thing was a joke. No one outside of New York or L.A. gives a hoot about this guy. All he did was get himself press."
# Terry McAuliffe and Bill Clinton: The Post says Clinton and his top fundraiser who heads the Democratic party caused the disaster. The Post has reported that some analysts say Clinton's emergence in the closing days of the campaign "energized" the Republican base.
They are turning on eachother! Sit back and pop some popcorn.
RE PUFFY: All he did was get himself press.
That's what it's ALL about........$$$$$$$$$$
1. I didn't do it.
2. If I did it it doesn't matter because the Republicans are evil and I had to do it to stop them.
3. I did it but I've dodged it for so long that it's old news now.
4. It was someone else's fault.
No, the dems never blame themselves for anything. Watching cspan 2 this morning. National press club trying to explain what went wrong. Apparently, according to them, the Bush voters are all very stupid people who live in the hills and shop at wallmart. Funny but wasn't it the dems who couldn't even figure out how to mark the ballot correctly in Florida last time.

Agree 100% -- can you imagine the amount of money our canidate will be able to raise to defeat Hillary. Maybe Frepers need to get in the PAC business since I have a hunch 527's are not going to be as unregulated as they are this time.
The party of "It's Not My Fault" and "Don't Blame Me"
Of course skerry had to face one of the best ground campaigns that got the republican base to the polls and a very likable plus very strong/stay the course leader.
I've been lurking around DU since Tuesday night. They have a long, long thread just about CRYING! Every ten posts or so, someone types "group hug" and bunch of smiley faces appear.
I was thinking the same thing. Why doesn't some smart person start a newspaper here in LA that tells it like it is. Or another news channel. I think there is a huge market out there for a real no spin zone.
i agree with that. but at least he put his face out there...all the others from the ABB crowd are MIA... i give him his props for not being a coward about it.
Wash your hands, keyboard, screen, and eye drops for your eyes...
Ha! Ha! Ha! They mobilized our base!
As I've mentioned a few times here, I think I am similar to your average Conservative Republican. I follow things, read, keep educated, throw a few bucks at candidates that I like, VOTE, and that's about it.
But if Hitlery runs, I pledge my life, my fortune, my sacred honor. I will do anything and everything on earth to stop Satan's spawn from winning.
If they think THIS race enegized the conservatives, a Hitlery presidential run with change the face of politics to the right for at least a generation.
Yeah, I hear Rove was behind it.
On P-Diddy:"He was just a nuisance," the Post quotes one Kerry aide as saying. "The whole thing was a joke. No one outside of New York or L.A. gives a hoot about this guy. All he did was get himself press."
If Republicans said this, don't you think they'd immediately find some way to label them "racists"?
I need to find a link that backs this up; I've got some noses this needs to be rubbed in, if true.
Karm:
As far as "the kiss of death" goes, conjecture for a moment on how close J F'in Kerry's term of office may have resembled the real JFK's. If Hillary is on deck for '08, Kerry's convenient demise would totally PAVE THE WAY for Hillary.
Kerry should thank God he DID NOT WIN...
