Exactly, Parking on top of a bunch of leaves? there's something wrong with this situation
While it may be odd, it certainly isn't something unthinkable. You probably wouldn't think it's going to hurt somebody.
Why? Right now in our driveway, you couldn't avoid parking on a pile of leaves.
if two ten year olds can successfully hide in it, it must have been a huge pile. wouldn't the trucks catalytic converted pose a serious fire risk parking in a pile of leaves?
not to mention he felt no bumps? the kids didn't scream when he hit them?
it's a tragedy nonethtless, but looks like stupidity played a large role.
It can't just be a tragedy, it has to be someone's fault.
Maybe the dad killed his daughter on purpose, or maybe he hasn't paid a big enough price. Maybe he needs to feel even worse for every moment he lives the rest of his life.
OR,,,,maybe your comment was despicable.
Who knows? It may be a situation where it's a multi-car home with a narrow driveway, meaning the dad, in this case, parks on a section of the lawn adjacent to the paved driveway.
If that was the case, then, you'd think the kids wouldn't be hiding in those leaves, but then again, they are children and possibly just didn't think...
Where I live, there is
a family with a big house
and four young children.
During leaf season,
the kids rake leaves and pile them
on their wide driveway
cause it's easier
to pick them up there. Sometimes
the kids pick 'em up
right away, sometimes
the kids go off and play, and
sometimes the kids play
right there in the leaves.
I'm always frightened because
the Dad parks his trucks
in the driveway, and
sometimes his foreign hired hands
put his trucks away . . .
I can understand
exactly how this awful
accident happened.
If the father knew they were there he would not have park in the leaves. The anguish he feels must be monumental.
No it isn't strange or wrong. I have parked in our driveway on top of freshly raked leaves before. The girls in this case were innocently playing and the father, not knowing they were there, parked on top of them. It is wrong in that it is so horribly tragic.
Our house is set back in the woods, and the wind fills our driveway with leaves constantly. I have no doubt that such a tragedy could happen accidentally.
May the Lord strengthen and comfort this man and his family.
