CNN just did a story about the disappointment of voters in blue states over the re-election of President Bush. It included "man on the street" interviews in New York where people (all Kerry supporters) voiced their disappointment with the same predictable rhetoric we have been hearing from the left for the past 2 days. In the interest of being 'fair and balanced' they also interviewed a 'Bush supporter'. Naturally, the Bush supporter they chose was some half inebriated homeless guy standing on a street corner with a bible who started rambling about how God had told him that he sent Bush to be our president, etc. while the interviewer condescendingly looked at the guy. The implication here was that all Bush supporters were these off-the-wall religious whackos. You can't tell me that they couldn't find one Bush supporter who works on Wall Street (for example) to balance this piece.
It's obvious that these people in the 'elite media' are doomed to repeat the same mistakes that caused the American people to issue a collective F*ck You on Nov.2nd. In a way I hope they keep up these tactics so we can issue the same FU in '08 when they put Hillary Clinton up as the next sacrificial lamb.
What's CNN? A candy bar, or something else that's irrelevant?
Help me out, what is this CNN you are referring to?
Did they catch his screen name by any chance?
It was the morality issue. That is not something the press seems to 'get' anymore.
I think he means "CNNetscape".
Only half? he needs a tax cut.
Thank God I'm from the 'ignorant redneck' base of Bush supporters.
I'm here in L.A. so I know it wasn't me (this time).
CNN sucks, they just don't know it yet.
Looking at the exit polls I dont see the morality issue being the most important isssue.
Iraq and the war on terror are the same thing.
Taxes (5%)
Education (4%)
Iraq (15%)
Terrorism (19%)
Economy/Jobs (20%)
Moral Values (22%)
Health Care (8%)
It should look like this
Taxes (5%)
Education (4%)
Iraq/Terrorism (34%)
Economy/Jobs (20%)
Moral Values (22%)
Health Care (8%)
CNN trying to do an unbiased story is like the Rats trying to figure out where they can get some moral values to run on next time. Neither is going to happen.
Book,arked.
Yup, when I heard the exit polls were showing a Kerry blowout but the top issues were moral values and terror I knew Bush was a winner. The Evangelicals and conservative Catholics were going to be heard.
DEAD END, CNN!
You think that was bad. They had a woman on today describing how parents, arriving at school yesterday to pick up their kids, were weeping and hugging each other. And that President Bush must do something to address those feelings.
I am sorry, but when that raping creep was re-elected, I didn't cry and the media did not demand he reach out to us.
I really don't blame the average European for hating us.
All the cable news stations and the MSM are still talking about and spinning the divided nation story and will be for some time.
Man, you've got to start treating yourself better.
I also need clarification on just what this "CNN" is exactly. A tabloid?
