Seems some of us might do well to read Matthew 5:44. I did just now. Prayers offered for Mrs. Edwards and her family.

No its not just you.
I was on my way home from work when I heard she had breast cancer. The radio talk show host said how are they going to find A doctor to treat her after knowing what John Edwards did for A living. They may have to sign an aggrement not to sue.

I am sure she will be able to find a family friend that is a Doctor that will help her even though OB/GYN is one of the most litigated of all in the medical field. We must all(especially cancer survivors) pray that it is early, and her medical protocol goes well. Surviving breast cancer is very difficult especially with two very young children that need their mother. One of the most endearing character traits of this website is the compassionate conservative mindset for friends and foe alike of our great FREEPERS.

Thank you.

I'm very happy for your sister, we all need to realize that today could be the best and last day in our life.

Earlier last month, when I reported Melissa Etheridge was also putting up the good fight against breast cancer, there was a similar outpouring of grace and compassion from fellow FReepers. Some things transcend politics.

It's sad but could you imagine the sympathy vote this coulda generated during the campaign? I believe God allowed this not to be detected until after the vote. God has been watching over GWB since 2000.

I wonder if the intense amount of fertility treatments she chose to take to have her two youngest children caused it.

I am sorry for her but would you want to be the Doctor that treats her?

Yes, I hope so too but I would really like to know if she has a history in her family of breast cancer or if she ever had an abortion.

" They may have to sign an aggrement not to sue."

I was thinking exactly the same thing. If, God forbid, it's terminal, it's almost guaranteed that John Edwards will file suit against the doctors who treated her.

Regardless of her abominable (and indefensible) behavior, throughout the primaries: my prayers to both her, her family and loved ones. May G-d see her safely through this.

I hope she's not as vain as he is and doesn't hesitate to go for a radical mastectomy or otherwise compromise her treatment in deference to her husband. That was my mother's chosen treatment. She did need radiation when she had a relapse a few years later because of missed lymphatic tissue but she has been cancer free for 14 years now. This is a very beatable disease.

My thoughts are with Mrs. Edwards recovery and for her children.
