MSNBC said it was diagnosed yesterday, wow-- that is a tough one..

W said that.
I don't believe Edwards did.
I could be wrong, but I remember W did say it, cuz I watched. Not to be nitpicky, but she put it off cuz he was campaigning, and I really really hate him for not demanding she go to the doctor and screw the campaign.

I am being kind. What in my posting " I pray she gets good treatment and recovers quickly" did you find somehow meanspirited or unkind????

Two days after the election, this is announced?
It would be reasonable to assume that they have been aware of this potential for some time, if not already aware of the cancer.
If that is true and they delayed announcing it (while not affecting treatment), then I think that speaks well for them to keep it quiet. It also seems out of character.

"They are saying she had the test yesterday.
And results today?
BS.
"
Not really. My wife had a biopsy one morning on a breast lump, and got the results that afternoon. Luckily it wasn't cancer. It all depends on the lab and how busy they are.

She has my deepest condolences.
My late wife died of esophageal cancer after a very long and painful ordeal. I hope her husband gives her as much support as I gave my love.

"I think it's relevant to point out if we had lost, and a few days later it was announced that Lynne Cheney had breast cancer, the monsters over at DU would be happily piling on the "salt in the wound" bandwagon, and already dancing on her grave."
I like to think that is what separates us from them.

How terrible! That's really bad news.
The good news is that breast cancer is becoming a highly survivable disease. Caught in its early stages, such cancers are treatable with a high degree of success, and with far less trauma and pain than was formerly usual.
Our prayers go out for Mrs. Edwards and her family in this time of trial. May God bless them.
