I was thinking that one way we could show our gratitude is to invite some of the Swifties to the Freeper Inaugral Ball. I would be glad to pay for one extra ticket--they go for $175. Perhaps if other freepers have a little extra money, we could have a fund to pay for a few more. Just a thought.

I have met John O'Neill and he is one of most gracious, unassuming men I have ever met. Courteous to a fault, he did not complain when people crowded around his breakfast table at the Holiday Inn in Washington that September Sunday for the VVAJK rally. He signed my book that morning and wrote a personal note when I told him I had served alongside the Swifties back then. I really believe he is awed by the attention and, yes, adoration thrust upon him and is humbled by it.

PD, thank you for this thread. The Swifties had a major part in exposing the lie that is JFnK in spite of the efforts of the MSM to bury it. The press still refuses to acknowledge that their hero is nothing but a paper tiger hiding behind a mask of heroism and bravado. Kerry is an opportunist of the most despicable kind -- given to sacrificing his fellow servicemen and hundreds of thousands of innocents who suffered and died after he caused the US to abandon Vietnam. May there be a special cell in hell that is reserved for him.
