no, the 269-269 tie is possible unless Bush wins some "other" state.

If Bush wins Ohio, he can afford to lose Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Hawaii, but then must win either Nevada or New Mexico. He would then have 274 EV's, according to my calculations.

But I can't see him losing all these states.

Again, I hope these positive posters here are right.

Bob Bennett, head of the Ohio GOP, said at 5:00 this afternoon that we would carry Ohio. The GOP had this state organized down to the precinct level, with 85,000 plus active GOTV volunteers. They made projections for the number of votes needed from each county, and those estimate have been exceeded in nearly every county.

MSNBC is offering the "surprise" spin that "moral values" was a key issue today - going to Bush.

Surprise, surprise! For liberal secular humanists!

Moral values described as "the new umbrella term." Well, well...some things never change.

I'm not ready to call for Mrs. Edwards to start singing yet, but how about a fat guy (David Crosby - who I definitely like for his music):

"FOUR MORE FROM O-HIOOOO..."

Remember: Susan Estrich ran the Dukakis campaign in 1988. She's having flashbacks, you see..., Democrats *hate* to lose. Will Bob Shrum *ever* work again? If Kerry loses, Bob will have lost *every* major campaign he's managed.

120 million voters this year. HUGE turnout. Will they "get it" that they were resoundingly rejected after a mass disinformation campaign unlike any since Hilter, 1939? Riiiight. They'll start the screaming at dawn if/when Bush is pushed over the top.

Begala is sane? He is almost in as much denial as Terry McAwful.

Carville, of course, is as crazy as a rabid junkyard mutt.

I am beginning to think that GW's numbers are "up" in counties he supposedly didn't carry in 2000, mainly because there is a lot less cheating going on this time by the loony left cheaties.

Fox just now called it. They aren't calling anything until 15 minutes after the networks make the call first. Fox is awful tonight. My 16 year old daughter is making earlier and accurate calls better than Fox is tonight.
