Put info and links about Washington here.
Cleaning house?
Cold and rainy. Hope that keeps the rats inside. I really believe Rossi will win. Bush could take this state, slim chance, but could. Just don't know about Nethercutt. This is the best shot we've had in a long time to get rid of Murray. Just vote no matter the weather or what you hear from the media.
We're in Kirkland. A bit larger crowd than usual. My wife was at the PTA bake sale stand at the school voting area. She said a guy came in with a Bush Hat, Bush Pin, and a Terrorists for Kerry T-shirt on. He mentioned to my wife he felt like a minority. My wife said well, when my husband comes there will be at least three of us here!
I asked my wife if anyone made him cover the Bush stuff up - she said no. I told her I thought it was against the rules to "advertise" so close (within!) the polling area.
She talked with another gal who was waiting for her husband. The gal said this was her husband's first time voting. He has lived in the states for 23 years, but after 9/11 became a citizen. My wife said it brought tears to her eyes (as it did mine). My wife clapped for him as he walked out with his wife.
No matter how this election comes out, I said a prayer of thanksgiving as I watched the various types of folks of all classes and colors that I live in a country where we have the freedom to elect our leaders based on how WE think the country should go.
God bless America, and God bless President Bush.
The wife said a 70-ish Chinese gentleman came in. He was so proud to show his American passport... but was crushed when told he couldn't vote because he hadn't registered.
At 7:04 a.m. I was voter No. 5 in my district. (Grays Harbor County) No Lines, No wait, Weather, raining as usual...
The lady ahead of me was No. 4, when she got to her booth with ballot in hand (we fill in ovals much like the grade school tests) the first issue was a state referendum. She immediately declared she had made a mistake, its a simple YES or NO question!! She wanted the poll worker to explain to her HOW she should vote on this issue!
The guy behind me stated that he just moved and this was his NEW precinct but was not registered here, they signed him up anyway and handed him a ballot and a privacy guard (ballot slides into it upon return)
His first question was how does the ballot go into the privacy guard! (Thinking that you could somehow fill in the ovals while the ballot was covered up)
All I could do was shake my head as I walked out thinking if were only up to voter No. 6 and this is any indication of how things would run. (By the way, the poll worker was still with voter No. 4 as I made my exit)
8^)
John Carlson and Kirby Wilbur reporting that Reichert and Ross are very close. Thats a surprise. I soooo want Reichert in the house as he would make a great contribution to the war on terror.
What did you do to the Moderator to cause him to remove posts #s 2 and 3?
Moot.

Thanks for the links. Cautious optimism here.
They are calling Washington for Kerry with 110,000 votes counted. Someone explain that.
Welcome to FR.
Wow, Washington is closer than I expected on on the C-span site

Bush 47 Kerry 51
Any updates?
Fox is saying 50-48 now.
Murray beats Nethercutt. Polls closed only 20 minutes ago and they're calling everything but Rossi.
Was it expected to be this close?
California and Washington were gifted to Kerry at 8pm with 0% reporting. I expect that the MSM wants to keep that EC number as close as they can for as long as possible. Florida at 90+ counted. No call.
