Senator Rick Santorum also told ABC in New York that GOP officials are planning on reviewing the matter closely and if necessary will consider judicial rulings in the matter to prevent fraudulent votes from being counted.
Senator Santorum also told ABC News that it appears that GOP turnout in central Pennsylvania is already reaching by mid-day 75% of the total turnout of 2000. Central Pennsylvania is the conservative core of the state and it appears that in the new 1.7 million voters registered by Republicans in the middle of the state that the majority of them will be supporting President Bush.
My thoughts are - if Pennsylvania is already at 75% turnout in GOP districts this means the GOP turnout operation is infinitely more successful than they had anticipated. It also reflects the "energized" vote that has been so reflected in the "internals" of the poll numbers which showed that President Bush's supporters have been from the outset the far more motivated voting block in this election.

I loved it when he said there's always fraud in Penn. and we knew it would happen.
National Review says Bush/Cheney is already filing suit to have Philly voting machine impounded.
bump
Excuse me, voting machines - plural.
I was never counting on Pennsylvania. If this state turns RED it's a BIG win for Bush.
Fight the fraud and turn out the vote. Man, getting PA would be huge
plus did you see the article by the Rabbi in WND....he said there are 70 million evangelicals. holy cow. if they vote, Bush is in!
Heavy voter turnout in the heavily Democratic and strongly union areas of Johnstown. And, believe it or not, I've spoken to a number of die-hard union members, including a union STEWARD, who voted for W!
Catholic Ping - please freepmail me if you want on/off this list
Oh! So there was 1999.
He's stating evidence, not happy talk ... we'll see, but encouraging signs.
we dont just watch history, we make history....
IF YOU HAVENT VOTED ALREADY, PLEASE GO VOTE!!!!
If they vote.... And let's hope they are spread out in the swing states.
I voted in Bucks today too. All the signs in our neighborhood had been Kerry ones until the weekend when a few Bush ones began to appear. A block up one home has both a Kerry and Bush sign and overnight a tall sign went up with a seniors for Bush on one side and doctors4Bush on the other. It towers over th eother two. LOL!! I told my husband that their dinners must certainly be lively. We're enjoying this since we're also a mixed marriage.
I can just hear Kerry's concession speech already, "I never really wanted to be president anyway. I am happy doing the job that I was elected to do, being the junior senator from Mass."
I couldn't sleep last night and was at the polls first thing in the morning, I've never been so jazzed for an election
Well, not meaning to burst anyones bubble but that 75% of 2000 is in the CENTRAL part of the state, which is known and always been HUGELY REPUBLICAN. Now massive turn out there is good, because it meanse Republican numbers are high.
You have to understand Pa... PA politically truly is, Pittsburgh in the SW, Philly in the SE and Alabama or Arkansas in between. Pittsburgh and Philly are the urban areas with large democratic numbers.... and the rest of the state the "T" zone as it is locally referred is OVERWHELMINGLY republican.
If they are having huge turn out in the T, that is good, because that means big Republican numbers.... and as I live in Pittsburgh, I feel confident saying that Kerry does not remotely have the support Gore did 4 years ago here.... Kerry may still win this area, but if he does it will be by a very nominal margin.
PA is going to come down to Philly. If Kerry comes out of Philly with a huge huge huge margin, he'll win PA.. if not, he will lose it. Since I'm not in Philly, I'm not going to predict how it will go, but I can say this, that is Kerry's only chance at winning.
There is no doubt the T is fired up this election cycle, and they don't like Kerry at all. Its also obvious that Kerry cannot depend on major win if a win at all in the Pittsburgh region... so its down to how much of a lead out of Philly Kerry gets.. if he gets out of Philly with only a few point lead, PA will go solidly Bush.
I like Santorum's optimism, but one thing that sticks in my mind is the GOP performance in 2000. In one of the more unusual scenarios in the U.S. that year, Santorum won re-election to the U.S. Senate while Bush lost to Gore. How does one explain the large number of Pennsylvanians who cast votes for both Gore and Santorum?
I'm not saying it's 'happy talk', and I don't mean it as a criticism. I just believe Santorum is the kind of guy that will accentuate the positive and keep the pressure on the other side until the final bell.
