I have been doing work for two candidates, One a guy running for PA State House, and another one in the US House (John Peterson)... From what I'm hearing higher up in the campaigns, the GOP voting turnout in this rural area of PA (that went 62-34 to Bush) is OFF THE FRICKIN CHARTS!!!
They actually think Pennsylvania is going to goto Bush.. I'll get more when I hear it!!!!!
No more posting here, then, friend - stay out there until the polls close and get people into those booths.
LOL! I would accept your gift to yourself most humbly.
How many did Berger get down his panties?
This I would never do... I would wait... This is too darn important...
This is the only time when we can say what we think! To vote IS a duty!
Hope so. I'm in Chambersburg, PA (South Central) and we're going to vote about 10 AM. That should give me a good idea about turnout.
One thing I've noticed; the Dems on TV this morning are all predicting a very close contest, the Republicans are all predicting a 300 EV victory for Bush.
Might mean something--might not.
Not wrong thread... wrong board!
:) this isn't DU...
The weather is beautiful right now, but it will rain this afternoon. Hopefully it will depress turnout around here. What a liberal area. Kerry signs are at a minimum 20 to 1 over Bush signs. I am being very gracious to Bush on that estimate.
Predicting 350...hoping for 400...and praying and working for 270!
That's good to hear! We were at the polls early, as were a lot of others. Here's hoping there are as many Bush supporters out late in the day as this morning. BTW, your guy (Peterson) got a vote from me, as he has before.
Record turnout here in Henderson Co., NC too!!! (We're just about the most Republican part of close-to-the-most-Republican county in NC!!)
I convinced my family to get there at least 30 minutes before the ballots opened, and I'm glad I told them! Dad went separately, he was there even earlier, but Mom and I got there at 6:00 AM. There was already quite a line, we voted at 7:20. By the time we left, the line looked like it was 3-4 hours long!! I just passed by another voting place on the way back to the hotel, the parking lot and streets were so packed with cars (lots of Fords and cars w/ W stickers), and the line was sooooo long.
I am SO pumped!!
THis is going to be a very long day.
I hope I don't puke before it gets over.
Get over here! This looks like great news! Santorum was on F&F and he sounded excited.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could carry the state Bush this time around, I am going to be spending the day in prayer for our President.
No, the correct answer is: How many do you need?
In Penn. and Ohio the Amish and the Menonites will shock the MSM.
Yup. We won' know nuthin till the large metropolitan area returns start coming in. That means 6-10 PM, west coast time. So everybody oughta just cool their jets for a while.
Same could be said of NJ.
GOP GOTV is doing the same thing.
Dems that think the GOP slept on the huge GOTV disadvantage they had in 2000 and did little to improve are in for one hell of a shock this evening.
