I have been doing work for two candidates, One a guy running for PA State House, and another one in the US House (John Peterson)... From what I'm hearing higher up in the campaigns, the GOP voting turnout in this rural area of PA (that went 62-34 to Bush) is OFF THE FRICKIN CHARTS!!!
They actually think Pennsylvania is going to goto Bush.. I'll get more when I hear it!!!!!
LOL, Someone posted Ohio exit poll and they deleted it!!!!!!!
I hear you. This is my 3rd election in Virginia. I vote in the Haymarket precinct in Prince William County - and always vote early. In years past, I've always found an easy parking spot and walked right in. There would usually be two or three people in line for the A-G slot. This morning when I arrived, I was wondering what the hell had happened. The parking lot was full and cars were parked up and down the street for 100 yards in each direction. I found a place to park and walked up. The line went down the hall from a full cafeteria, out the door, down the sidewalk and nearly to the street. There were half a dozen Bush electioneers in the parking lot (in the safe electioneering zone) handing out Bush stickers and Republican sample ballots. There were no Kerry supporters to be seen. We're in a pretty conservative area - and I expected pretty good turnout - but I never expected anything like this.
Cute story -- young Zogbys in the making.
You gotta love it!!!
WooooHoooo!
A heartbeat?
I'm in South Florida!
That's never been a requirement down here!
Many thanks to your wife and her friends who are doing this.
I am extremely proud of her! She really excels at talking to people (I don't, except online I guess) and this is the first election that she has been this involed. Heck, even I've been much more involved in this one than I normally get, although I bet it's not half as much as the average freeper has done.
South-Central PA . . . Spent 5 hours making GOTV calls from our County GOP HQ today, after standing in long line for 45 minutes to vote (normally a 5 minute wait max in other years). . . we called hundreds of registered voters . . . one volunteer got one person on the line who was actually undecided, so I guess they really do exist . . . I'm feeling good about PA, except for the huge fraud potential from Philly/Pittsburgh . . .
I feel in my heart that the rural turnout will cancel out any vote fraud. Take heart, I know you guys can bring PA home !!! =)
I'm not so sure about the moveon.org people...they put a "reminder to vote Kerry/Edwards" thingy on our door. They must not know us very well: we're the sort who would rather have our hair set on fire and have it put out with a sledgehammer than vote Dem. It looks like they're putting these things on everyone's door in this part of Delco.
Thank you. My mother was 92, she lived a good long life and had not been well for a long time. She's home now. The sad part is that she has out lived everyone that knew her, including the minister at her old church and the church near the home where she has lived for ten years and there is no one to do the service. Actually, the church near the home burnt down to the ground.
I've heard that Wolf is very, very dirty ammo, S; lots of deposits. You ever use it before? I've avoided it since seeing a KaBoom! two booths down from me, and the guy had used Wolf for 2-3mos prior. That convinced me to never try it. You haven't had any problems...
Haven't used any yet. I'll use with caution.
Clean well after each use. KaBooms are not nice, IMO.
