It is a bit after 5am, but I just got woken up by a call from someone in the GOP who shared with me that the early voters and absentee ballots are suggesting that if the trend holds, we are looking at Bush 55, Kerry 45.
It comes down to this; TURNOUT. If our folks show up in numbers, it wont even be close and we will know by 10pm San Diego time that Bush has been reelected. If you get out there and vote, this thing is over TONIGHT.
You know what to do, so dont let the door hit you on your way out. GET OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh I hope this is true.
Is this person you spoke with "in the know"?
Please let it be so, such a result would be a repudiation against weak kneed appeasement and a bold statement of defiance by the American people against Osama.
I'm praying (and believing) that this election will be for Bush what The Passion of the Christ was for Mel Gibson--an outpouring of people of faith who put the pundits in the rubbish bin.
I'm even more optimistic...
Bush 65%, Kerry 34% pv.
Bush 341, Kerry 197 ev.
Polls only tell you what people think when they are sitting in their livingroom watching TV and they answer the phone.
VOTING tells you which group of supporters was sitting in offices, taking names from lists, calling registered voters and instructing them where to vote and urging them to do it.
As unfortunate as it is, it is necessary to get those votes out and those of us who make the calls, make the difference.
If you *really* want to help, get down to your local Republican headquarters and spend a few hours reminding folks to get out their vote. Maybe you can even drive a few to the polling place?

Wow! This is like a dream I had last night. It was actually a dream that interrupted the dream I was having before. In my dream I got up about midnight to check FreeRepublic. For some reason I couldn't get on so turned on the news to see a reporter smiling. It turned out to be the weather man. At first I thought I heard the report say "change in the presidency" and I was worried until I heard that the incumbent George W. Bush had won by an overwhelming number. I remember saying, "You mean the winner was announced before midnight and John Kerry actually conceded without bringing out his 10,000 lawyers?"
I hope I haven't jinxed anything by telling that dream. LOL! My husband just took our absentee ballots to the polling place on his way to work, so our ballots are in.
TURNOUT! TURNOUT! TURNOUT
Amen.I went to my polling place this AM & it was inundated with Bush/Cheney signs. Many vehicles had B/C stickers too. There was not one single Kerry/Edwards sign,sticker,flyer....NOTHING.Man,I sure like my neighborhood!! LOL
I voted at 7 am this morning and I saw many Christians I know at the polls. They were there early and they were excited. The MSM will find it a bitter pill to swallow if Evangelicals are the determining factor!
May not be far off. The Kerry base is 45% max and that is what I think he will get. Add Nader and others at about 1.5% and you have Bush 54.5%.
When you look at the "margin of error" in all the polls, you could as easily end up with a blowout as a close race. Just 3% gives Kerry the 48 to 49 that some polls have him at.
I'm feeling optimistic... I don't know why; I just am.
Hope all of you are right!
Voted this AM in Central Indiana. I had to wait 50 minutes. My normal wait is 10 minutes. I heard a WOWO radio commentator predict a huge Hoosier turn-out would mean a victory for our President, because that would mean the republicans have got out the vote! Go Bush/Cheney!
Thank you.
;^)
Historical precedent will hold true again today.
I want to crush my enemies, see them driven before me, and hear the lamentations of their women!
