I'm taking my youngest, age 7 with me because she doesn't remember me taking her to vote before and is interested in how it's done. My others all remember, so I will be leaving them home, much to their dismay. I think they just want to get out of school for the day, lol! If I didn't think I'd have a long wait in line, I might take more than just my daughter.

I got to my poll in NW Illinois at 8:20 AM and was in my car by 8:30. The line of people was flowing nicely. Several people coming as the same amount was leaving.

From my perspective the turnout is about average for a Presidential election.

Checking in from Columbus, Ohio Franklin County! My son (first time voter) and I just voted for "W". While standing in line some rat with a sign around his neck which read "know your voting rights" informed us to be patient. He said all polling places were reporting long lines. We stood in line for 1 1/2 hour but what I noticed when I got in there there were only three machines and the room at the school was small and they were somewhat disorganized. I overheard a poll worker saying that they were trying to get some more machines in.

In the past we would have 4-5 machines with an average wait of 30-45 mins during the early rush time. There were quite a few young voters, but in my opinion it seemed to be about avg for their age group. The avg age looked to be between 30-50 age range. Just an avg. Rain is starting to move in now. Starting to sprinkle as I speak. At first glance it looked like a large early turn out, but by the time I voted the only line there was were the folks who were there behind me from the early rush. Behind them their was not another person waiting in a long hallway. Moreover, I did not see anyone else coming in as I was leaving.

There was no one standing outside on either side with signs and etc.

Later on 4 more votes for "W" not including my kids friends and their families.

"W" Will Win OHIO!!!!

For the troops!

My husband and I voted at 8:45am in Tonawanda, NY (outside of Buffalo), and we were #64 and #66. We both proudly cast our ballots for G.W. Bush. God Bless him.

A former co-worker told me I couldn't have tattoos and be conservative!
I told her I'm the "new wave" of conservatives! Ha ha.

1) All from being young (was still a Republican, but a young wild one)
2) I don't think what you do to your body changes who you are or what you believe in.

Comments recently posted by our friends over at Crushkerry.com (may already be posted, didn't check):

"Just Passing This Along: I spent the better part of Monday on the phone with Republican Hill staffer after Republican Hill staffer after … well, you get the picture. I was on the phone a lot. The question we all asked each other: “What are you hearing?” The conventional wisdom from the DC GOP kids? House Republicans will be fine, pick up of maybe three in the US Senate, but Bush will lose. Again, this is not based on "inside" numbers, it's just the feelings of those Hill staffers we talked to. (Bear in mind, Hill staffers tend to think everyone is stupid except them, so take it for what it’s worth.) Also, this does not change our picks of a Bush win."

FWIW only. Plus 3 in the Senate seems right, if Dasshole loses (assuming Vitter and Burr wins).

We'll see soon enough who's right.

I vote at at school and arrived at 6:50 for polls opening at 7. I pull up and there are KERRY EDWARDS SIGNS at the entrance to the school!!

I was over at our polling place, also a public school, putting up Bush signs at quarter to 6 this morning - the Kerry worker was doing the same thing. The rule in Virginia is "40 feet from the entrance."

I handed out flyers & sample ballots from 6 - 9, only one abusive Kerry voter - he took the flyers, crumpled them up & said he didn't vote for liars. We weren't supposed to answer back, but I snapped & said "You don't have a problem with traitors, though, do you?"

The Kerry worker said the guy was obviously crazy & that he didn't even want his vote. It did kind of worry me that he hung around for a while after voting - I though he might be trying to figure out which car was mine, so I checked my 6 carefully when leaving the school.

My wife and I have to vote provisional. Im not happy about it either. Ours wont count unless the votes are close. We have everything in order though.

haha thanks... you have managed to press my panic button...

Quick Vanity---

Was at the Polls in Northern VA @ 6am... huge line.. A librarian hands me a Kerry Flyer with a "sample ballot"..I politely told her she was to close to the entrance...she left :-D

Secondly, a lady in front of me decides to have some small talk.. Said she has been in Europe and everybody is ready for a change... to which I replied. "They'll either have to wait 4 years or change their attitude" -

Thankful VA is a safe state.
