As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads. I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .
The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion. Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

I just voted in my first presidential election...and I gotta say, it feels great. Chalk up one more vote for Bush/Cheney in Butler county, Pennsylvania.
There was NO line at the polls, but I live in a small township. Weather here is overcast, gloomy, and looking like rain, lets hope all the dems in PA decide to stay home and get high instead of braving the rain.

Pretty crowded in another part of Moran's district. I waited an hour on line. Didn't see any Bush/Cheney signs.
Noticed all who had campaign buttons on in the crowd waiting to vote were for Kerry. Also noticed three cars in the lot with "Hillary for President" bumper stickers.
We must be living in Moscow on the Potomac ;-)

Another Ohio report:
I live in rural Putnam County, in NW Ohio. Putnam County went 73% for the President in 2000.
I arrived at my usual time, just after dropping my daughter off at school. The poll ladies said I was voter number 87 (I'm usually number 40 or so!), one hour after the polls opened, and that they were seeing record turnout in our small town.
If Putnam County is any indication, we're going to have record GOP turnout this year.

What part of VA are you in?

I live in midtown Indianapolis, in a mostly Dem precinct. I got there atr 6:30 AM, and was voter #17. I would call turnout good but not unusually heavy.
IN will go for GWB and Mitch Daniels, no question. Unfortunately, I will continue to be represented in the House by Julia Carson. Yuck.

Lycoming County went for Bush 62-34 in 2000, and it's one of the larger central PA counties.
The lines here are UNBELIEVABLE!!!

WOO HOO.
I just got done voting in Maryland!!
Pretty good turnout here as well in this conservative district.
Unfortunately MD will go to sKerry.

Everything I am hearing is that GOP Precincts are having HUGE turnouts and Dem precincts are just above-average.

Any explanation why Wyoming is showing up as a Kerry state on the map you posted?

It's odd that Canadians tell me all the time that Americans don't know anything about Canada (when I point out the difficulties of socialism) yet feel qualified 100% to tell me what is wrong with the USA -- where plenty of them have never been! Canadians are simply unarmed Americans with lousy healthcare.

Lycoming County went for Bush 62-34 in 2000, and it's one of the larger central PA counties. The only major fear in PA is Philadelphia. If the Republicans can make a small dent in the shenanigans there then Bush will win quite easily.

She was waving green sheets in the air reminding people that politics is not on the ballot in judges' races and that she had a sheet with recommendations and asked if anyone wanted one. As she was passing the sheets out, she told people that they were the democrat judges. I am going to call the State Board of Elections.

Johnson County, Kansas (suburban Kansas City)
Polls open at 6:00AM. I was there at 5:45AM and was #6 in line. By the time the doors open, the line was out the door.
Strong Bush precinct; hell probably carry here by 40%.
Vote BUSH/CHENEY !
LET'S ROLL!
