As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads. I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .
The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion. Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

I just got Bush 2 more votes here in NYC. My wife & I voted & then convinced my step daughter & her husband to vote(they're registered but weren't going to vote) While they are both Bush supporters they're also lazy so I drove them to their polling place & watched while they both voted for Bush.

7:21am and I'm headed-out to N. Sherman St Fire Dept, in York, PA, to vote for W&Co. I'm taking a digital camera along, in case there are some DNC goons there, but I don't think that'll be a problem in the overwhelming GOP county.
4 more years!

I didn't see any people in my age group (18-30), it was mostly people in their 30's or older. See my earlier post mentioning this topic. I noticed no MTV Rock the Vote types on the long early voting line here in Broward County. I just don't think most of the MTVers have the patience to vote. Yeah, they will show up for a free Rock the Vote concert but to actually vote?---NAW!

Jeez - how'd I get that wrong? I just got back - was number 66. Was there a policeman at your polling place? This is the first time we had the police standing guard.

Time to go fire my shot (polls open at 7, my watch says 6:24, and it's a 3-minute walk to my poll).

My Dad called. He took his folding chair and a book and was the first in line at his Florida precinct (he showed up about 6).
He's home now (he only lives about a mile from the polling place) and the polls opened at 7. So he was in and out in less than 10 minutes, but says the lines are longer now.
He's a senior citizen, a veteran, and his vote went for Bush!

Voted at just before 7:00 here in NC. Was in line at 6:00 and the poles opened at 6:30. By the time the poles opened there was a line of well over 200.
In 2000 there was only 18 in line. I'm in a heavy D'rat county in NC.
Go NC Bush, Ballantine, Burr

My husband just called, got to the poll at 6:10 to vote like he always does- there has never been a line at that tme, but they are lined up very far- We are a precinct that will go for Bush big (we even went for Dole). So I'm not believing that big turnout means good for Kerry!
Vote, Vote - call your family and friends, neighbors (all that are Bush supporters) make sure they are out there!! Give it everything we've got.

Russert is touting that group as the winning votes for Kerry..I am not ready to lose my quiet faith in victory over Russert's predictions.

Just voted in GOP stonghold of Mason, OH. Polls opened at 6:30. Got there at 6:10 and I was 8th in line. By 6:30 there must have been 50 people there. When I was leaving at 6:45 there was over 100. Folks are juiced.

Thanks for directing me to your post. Yeah, at least with the 18-22 group that are still in college, I don't think too many of them are going to vote. However, I have been out of college for almost 2 years now, and this is the second presidential election that I voted in.

We were in line at 5:45 a.m. in Northern Virgina. Polls opened at 6:00. By the time we left at 6:15, the parking lot was overflowing and cars were parked way down the street. Things seemed very quiet and professional.
