My prediction for the Thune margin of victory for some days has been four points.

Because of Daschle's desperation ploy last night, I revise my estimate upward.

It's the worst thing he could have done.

John Thune is LIKED; and positioned perfectly with the people right now.

The good people of South Dakota are not going to take kindly to such a cynical attempt to subvert the electoral process by soon to be ex-Senator Daschle.

I hope Linda is prepared for the precipitous drop-off in lobbying business that is coming her way...

Hey little Tommy, take your little step up stool and get the hell out of Dodge.

Wish I had the picture of him standing on that stool, it is on old computer.

Simply awsome!

ESPECIALLY if they were in fact unique hits. In any case, the Pajama Patrol was on the job, shining a light on this 11th hour mischief by the Dim cockroaches.

LET'S RIDE!

It can be spun by Daschle as a technical "win" since there is a tiny restriction on one action in one county.

You were right. The AP played up Daschle's "win" and made it sound like his charges of intimidation were true. ONly down in the body of the stories do you see the Daschle/Piersol connection, and never do you get the full meaning of the story. This is SD Tom Daschle fan club media at its worst.

YIPPEE! Apparently SD judges aren't corrupt like Florida's.

NOT true. Tom Thumb and the judge are in fact ol' buds. The judge was castrated because of the late rulings in Ohio favoring Pubbies. The good people of S Dakota were also on the streets in the dead of night supporting the soon-to-be new Pubbie senator from S Dakota. Thousands following the live action on the web was a huge factor also IMO. If fact, the judge at one point commented about the proceedings going out on the WWW. Apparently he didn't like the light of day exposing their shenanigans.

It really was flawlessly executed: a big lawsuit threatening the removal of all poll-watchers, so the Republicans had to fight it hard, a hand-picked judge who gave a win for Daschle that was too trivial for the Republicans to challenge without looking bad, a decision held just late enough for the Argus to get into the paper so they could spin the story hard, but with no time for rebuttal before people cast their votes.

You've got to hand it to Daschle, he is one slick, smart SOB politician...

The advantage will go to Daschle in this one -- a small one, but an advantage nonetheless. See my post above.

I'm so glad that South Dakotans are out in the streets! I'm so proud as a former resident of Sioux Falls and Huron.

PUBLIC PRESSURE IS A BEAUTIFUL AND NECESSARY ACTIVITY IN THESE UNCERTAIN TIMES where cheating is the rule rather than the exception.

I really admire the SD GOP campaign.

We had a speaker for our winter meeting from there.

I learned alot, but wish I could go out there for training.

IMO the judge's ruling is of no effect because it is unenforcable. Patently unconstitutional(not that it ever bothers Dims). WHO does it actually apply to?

Which if challenged, would go down in flames. An idiotic last ditch effort to regain some advantage that failed miserably. BTW, I think at some point the ruling should be challenged just to get rid of what small roadblock it may present later.

As far as Tom Thumb's political acumen, it's easy when his type's work is done in the shadows; without MSM questioning motives, etc. Head to head and toe to toe with Pubbies on a level playing field Tommy's act of desperation comes off as exactly what it is........desperation.

Got that right! I sort of felt like an idiot sitting here at my computer at 2:00 in the morning grinning from ear to ear. Even snorted a time or two, truth be known. Looks like conservatives have taken just about all we're gonna take. Wish we had our own MSM cheerleaders.
