I've always thought the Bushies saying W left the TANG with an honorable discharge left unsaid the fact his opponent was discharged at something less than honorable.

I am ignorant....which one is worse?
I would guess the Dishonorable, but I gon't want to guess.
To: hosepipe
I have been sayong for several days that it would take either official documents, or the testimony of a high ranking officer who knew firsthand of any discharge.
Secretary of the Navy would cause a considerable stir.

guessing: John WarnerNo way. He doesn't have the testicular fortitude to come out with that. He's too "civil" like the other wimpy repubs in the senate.

Exactly!
I am a newbie also - but just to posting. I have lurked for a long while. However, Navy Chief would NEVER state this if it wasn't true or just a rumor. He is the real deal, give the man his due.
Go Navy Chief!!!!
To: jimt
Dear jimt,
I suppose that would require a ruling from the Supreme Authority (JimRob).

Your date says Sept. 12th 2004. Who's the Newbie and what does it matter. Do we have some kind of seniority system here? That was the total point of my post. That the date doesn't matter. What matters is the history of your posting, however short or long it is.

I hate Kerry as much as anyone here, if not more. I was on riverboats on the Song Ong Doc in April of 71. The fact is that at this time of the election this story will change little. The fact is W will win based on his prosecution of the WOT and removing Sadamn from where he can hurt us and other countries in the ME.
We can deal with Kerry about VN after he loses the election.

LOL, good one! A newbie outing a newbie! It gets crazier everyday here. LOL
Yeh, but anyone who has been here thru this election season ought to be able to claim at least a year on the poster odometer.

There is no such discharge that I know of that is SPECIFICALLY other than honorable. It is just a generic way of saying he did NOT receive an HONORABLE DISCHARGE.Yes, there is such a thing as a specific OTH discharge. After 6 months you are eligible to request an upgrade to honorable.

You'll pardon my cynicism, but someone who has been here about a month highlighting "Former Secretary of the Navy" as a scurrilous attempt to insinuate God-knows-what has zero credibility with me.
You expect us to think that the current Secretary of the Navy has first hand knowledge of what happened 35 years ago? Get real.
If you want to sway certifiable idiots, I suggest you post on DU.

Who's the Newbie and what does it matter. Do we have some kind of seniority system here?During election time, many of the trolls from liberals websites come here to disrupt.
That makes most new posters guilty until proven innocent. Life is terribly unfair.
