PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE III (live thread)
10.13.04
| Joe, and the rest of FR.

45 minutes to go. If there is already a live debate thread go ahead and delete this.
I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!

Sorry. I was trying to reply to the person you were replying to.

"Question is, what authority does this half-talent have to discuss these debates?" Don't you get it? She the democrap talking point of the LATE shows. She represents the "Sex and the City" single women vote that they need.

Damn, now I have to open another bottle. This could take all night.

Kathy Griffin--
Other than being pretty, why is she important, for informational purposes only.. She's not important. Not at all. And she's completely out of place here. The Dems must've flipped through every name in their rolodex before they came across Ms. Griffin's. She has no business discussing politics. (One of her most recent TV appearances was on "Celebrity Mole", for Pete's sake.) And I wouldn't go so far as to call her pretty--that face is well-acquainted with the scalpel.

I don't mean to be petty...
But Kerry's teeth look pretty awful to me...
They look like they....smell bad...
That aside...
He's phoney!
If he said those things about MY husband...
I'd flinch, too...
She did the correct thing..
But nothing in the book says she has to LIKE it!

When I used to do debate prep, we discovered people heard what they expected to hear. It took a major gaffe to make a difference.
This debate, IMO, was okay for Kerry. He got in all his debate issues - particularly the one that played to the weak part of his base..women.
The debate was great for GWB. He looked good - relaxed, compassionate, no grimaces, good posture, friendly and normal...but most of all, he did one thing...
He destroyed the cartoon image of him as the mean right-winger. He IS Presidential. He IS an effective Commander in Chief. Voters have been hammered with a different vision of him - tonight he reminded them he is charming. He's a husband and a father. That will play well in 'Peoria' because it's REAL - not a debate point.
Kerry tried to play President. He should have stayed in a Holiday Inn.

Ron Reagan says that MOST Catholics are PRO-CHOICE. We Evangelical Christians scare the plagerizer, Mike Barnicle. I have news for them, THEY scare me but MOSTLY *iss me off! They have no clue how many people are just waiting to vote to show the smart*sses what we think of them and the Kerry/Edwards' ticket!

Debate 2: Kerry: I can look at the audience and tell you aren't in MY tax bracket.
Debate 3: Kerry: I married into my tax bracket
And people think this guy is winning?

Good grief--don't we all misspell stuff when we are trying to keep up with a thread that moves this fast? We need to move on--this is about the ELECTION, not about US, anyway!

Don't know. It would not have come from FR. My guess is, it's something in another window or in the background on your local computer.

Mike Barnicle says that he doesn't know anyone who is FOR abortion but he does know some women who have HAD TO HAVE AN ABORTION! I wonder who MADE THEM "have to have" them? What a cowardly way out of taking responsibility for *crewing around.

Thank you. I'm glad that's cleared up. Being new, offending someone is the last thing I want to do. Thanks for instructing me on the rules. I will be mindful of them.

"But your comments sound an awful lot like reflexive chauvinism."And you sound like the kind of woman I would love to have working for me! Did you notice I put a disclaimer in my comments just to cover women like you? You're straight forward without being whiney and you make no excuses. That's what I love!

Ok, now I get it..The DNC had her out there talking about politics tonight...
Isn't that like having Sean Penn out there discussing the evils of Domestic Violence, or Child Safety with Michael Jackson, you got to love the Hollywood libs...

I don't know if it is possible, but I wish that FR had a way to see how many people actually hit this thread tonight, man it was moving..It's had a few.
The thread has had a little under half a million hits.
Close to 450,000 hits when checked a while ago.
