I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!

...and not only for the first time in her 64 year voting record is she voting for a Republican, but my guess is she has now completely switched allegiance and is now a Republican for her (hopefully infinitely long, God bless her) life.

My first impression was that Bush was much stronger on most of the issues.

In particular Kerry's positions on enlisting our "allies" to help with Iraq, finding and funding two more divisions without resorting to a draft or vast increases in taxes, etc., seemed not credible.

Also, Bush was quite able to admit mistakes and shortcomings and still look better than his opponent. That's impressive!!

I'm not sure about his responses to charges that his tax cuts for the wealthy were unfair and unaffordable. I think he avoided a straight answer.

When Edwards brought that in from the middle of nowhere, I thought it was just that he is a tacky individual. Now the Lurch does it, I think they have a focus group saying this (non)issue will cost the President votes.
Or the October surprise involves some in the Democratic party being outed. Thoughts?
