Kerry Lost Security Clearance!
Just spoke with reporter friend in DC. She is talking with former USN ONI types who worked on DOD/USN investigation that resulted in total loss of Kerrys Navy security clearance.
Kerry had been granted a Top Secret by the Navy on October 11, 1967 based on a routine background investigation by Office of Naval Intelligence. A top secret clearance was required for his work at that time.
Obtaining and holding a security clearance of any level, especially TS or above, requires certain terms, obligations, commitments and conditions from the holder. One of the most important is the holder of the clearance must promptly and fully any contacts with any foreign officials, agents, etc.
Lieutenant Kerry left active duty with the Navy on January 3, 1970, but he still carried those obligations as a commissioned officer of the Naval Reserve. Without telling anyone and without receiving permission from superiors,FBI or counter-intelligence officers, he traveled to Paris in the summer of 1970. He claimed the purpose of his trip was a honeymoon with his first wife, Julia Thorne, but there was another hidden purpose.
Numerous North Vietnamese and Viet Cong intelligence agents and officials were in Paris, having arrived a year earlier for the Peace Talks. While in Paris, Kerry met with agents on a number of occasions and had extensive discussions with them about U.S. plans, procedures and how to get the U.S. to essentially surrender in Vietnam.
These clandestine meetings were never reported to the Navy.
Almost a year later, in April 1091, speaking as the leader of the Vietnam Veterans Against The War, Lieutenant Kerry told a Senate hearing about his meetings with enemy agents. Senior DOD officials wanted to prosecute him as a Naval Reserve officer for violating a number of laws and regulations, but this was vetoed by the Nixon White House. They didnt want to give the anti-war crowd any additional PR ammunition.
However, the Navy immediately pulled Kerrys security clearance. He became a Naval Reserve officer who was known not to be trusted. He kept his commission, but lost all access to any classified information. In the words of one of the now-retired agents, Lieutenant Kerry wasnt cleared to know what time it was!
The bottom line is, Kerry was on the Intelligence Committee of the Senate after the Paris fiasco and another trip to support the Moscow-backed Sandinistas in Nicaragua.
Today, he couldnt get a security clearance to pull KP duty, but he wants to be Commander in Chief of all our military in the War on Terrorism!
Excuse me?
CAN YOU SAY
O C T O B E R S U R P R I S E ! ! !
One day when I was in the Army I learned that I had a secret clearance. I didn't even know about it. I was fascinated when the Battalion clerk opened up a book which had the war mission of my unit laid out.
I was just an E-4 anxious to get out because I was short, but I did have to do special duty which was really no big deal.
That was long ago and my unit has pretty much been disbanded and we no longer have the other units that were in place back then 25 years ago.
Oh God. That's pretty bad.
ping
Because his party put him there.
Look - we know we will never have the press support.
Get over it. We have to use what we have and work around our obstacles.
All I ever hear here are comments about what the press won't do - so we should not bother about that.
If information is important - it has to get out however we can get it out. Not by the media. But, we have to show the media they will not censor our news or our efforts.
...I publish an online paper in Maine, Christian-news-in-maine.com please keep me informed regarding this will you.
...
Great - this is the can-do attitude. We don't have the MSM but do we let them control the U.S. because of it? Kind of makes me mad that a candidate can confiscate the MSM, run an unfair campaign, cheat, lie and steal an election and all the time we sit by complaining that the MSM is biased, they are not fair, ya da ya da ya da.
So, you are doing something about it - thanks.
So - what else is news?
Do you have an email list you can expand to include more and more people? Can you accumulate documents they will not see on the MSM and send them to your list periodically?
It may not be perfect but it does prevent the total control of the country by the unelected media and the democrats who chose to run a traitor as a presidential candidate.
So, guess you have conceded your rights to the MSM. They are so big, I am one person, they won't print it because it is negative on Kerry.
Is this whole thread going to be comments about what the MSM won't print?
SO WHAT IF THE MSM DOESN'T LIKE IT - DOES THAT MEAN THAT WE ALL BOW DOWN TO THEIR DECISIONS? DO WE HAVE THE INTERNET? DO WE HAVE EMAIL LISTS?
Get proof - ignore what the MSM will or will not do and get busy putting it out there.
Otherwise, we are just whiners like Kerry.
Kerry's security clearance is stuffed in Berger's socks headed back into the viewing room for secrets.

this article might help answer some questions, and since this morning it has been picked up by another source,...

Actually, when I was in the service, a Secret Crypto clearance was harder to get than most Top Secret clearances. It depends on what you need to know.
Tom,
I read the subject article. Although I wholeheartedly agree that Kerry needs to sign an SF 180 authorizing the release of his military records, I don't think there is an issue concerning his Honorable Discharge. Based on my personal experience, Kerry received his Honorable Discharge under the standard process, which obtains for naval officers transitioning through the Reserve process.
On July 1, 1972 Kerry was transferred from the Inactive Reserves (subject to recall, but no drill obligation), to the Standby Reserves. Similarly, I was transferred into the Standby Reserves in November 1972 after resigning my commission and being released from active duty in November of that year. I did not receive my Honorable Discharge until Feb 16, 1978, the same date as Kerry. I received the same letter as Kerry.
The Navy has a board, which meets annually I believe, that decides what officers should be retained in the Standby Reserves or removed and given an Honorable Discharge. The decision is based on skills and Navy personnel requirements. Officers are involuntarily separated as a standard procedure. I think you are reading to much into the Clayton letter, which contains boilerplate language.
The story about Kerry's Reserve status should be about his activities in the antiwar movement, including meeting in Paris with the Vietnamese Communists while still being a member of the Naval Reserves subject to recall. Initially, Kerry's website listed his military service as 1966-1970 --Active Duty and 1972-1978--Navy Reserves. This was revised to the current timeline, John Kerry for President - John Kerry's Service Timeline, which contains some questionable entries and his meant to obscure his status during the period 1970-2.
Kerry's new timeline states that January 3 Kerry requested a discharge. This is incorrect. Kerry was released from active duty on Jan 3, 1972 and transferred into the Inactive Reserves. (See http://news.findlaw.com/hdocs/docs/jkerry/releaseactduty.pdf and http://news.findlaw.com/hdocs/docs/jkerry/rqsthistserv.pdf)
Kerry's new timeline also lists March 1, 1970 as his "date of separation from active duty." This is clearly incorrect. Finally, they use the date of April 29, 1970 to indicate that Kerry was a "Registrant who has completed service." This designation means that Kerry is no longer subject to the draft. Obviously, the Kerry campaign is deliberately trying to create the impression that Kerry was out of the Service entirely after April 1970. No mention is even made of his Reserve status or Honorable Discharge. This is being done because Kerry realizes he is vulnerable to criticism concerning his participation in the antiwar movement while still a member of the Naval Reserves subject to recall.
I hate to rain on your parade, but the timing of Kerry's honorable discharge tracks with my personal experience. The Internet has been filled with the speculation you mention in your article, i.e., the Carter connection. It just doesn't jibe with the facts and documents we already have.
Re Kerry's medals: As I have previously written to you, Kerry requested his new medals in 1985 as replacements for the ones he threw away in 1971. He admitted he threw them away at the time and then changed his story subsequently that the threw away his ribbons and someone else's medals. He was telling the truth in 1971 and is lying today. What we really need is a copy of his request in 1985 for replacement citations/certificates/medals. Kerry claims they just requested replacement citations and certificates because he knows that replacement medals would undermine his current story, which was most recently mentioned to Charles Gibson on GMA earlier this year.

Only a member of the criminal party can sit on the intellegence committee after he has been stripped of his clearance while in the military.....only in our house and senate....look at leaky leahy, the smartest man to walk this earth, biden....he too leaks like a seive. Take a look at those who sit on the judicial committee...the man who let evidence die in a car full of water then swam 7 miles with a 40# back brace to report the dasterdly deed. Only democrats can get away with this sort of stuff.

So, in a nutshell, you don't think the discharge timing is unusual but you dispute the other items.
Do you think that the info re the subject of this thread is inaccurate?
