I hope this is good
But decideds with a conscience (barely clinging to Kerry ) can be persuaded to switch sides or not vote at all).
DATE: 12 October 2004
Could this be the headline?
CAMPAIGN UPDATE: The Petition for Indictment of John Kerry reached its
target of 150,000 signatures in September. (This petition for
indictment will remain online for informational purposes
[see http://patriotpetitions.us/], and will accept additional
signatures, which we will report each quarter after the petition for
indictment is filed.)
Dear Fellow Patriot,
The petition for indictment of John Kerry, for "giving aid and comfort
to the enemy," and, thus, to disqualify him for national office, has
reached its goal of more than 150,000 signatures. On Monday, 18
October, the petition will be delivered by registered courier to Vice
President Richard Cheney (in his capacity as Senate President), Senate
Majority Leader Bill Frist and Attorney General John Ashcroft today.
Though John Kerry has an extensive and well-documented record of anti-
American activities over the past three decades [see "John Kerry: More
aid and comfort..." at http://FederalistPatriot.US/alexander/], it is
his acts of treason in 1970-71 that are the subject of this petition
for indictment. Our appeal notes both Kerry's violations of the UCMJ
(Article 104 part 904) and U.S. Code (18 USC Sec. 2381 and 18 USC Sec.
953), and calls for his disqualification for public office in
accordance with the Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3,
which states: "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in
Congress, or elector of President and Vice- President ... having
previously taken an oath ... to support the Constitution of the United
States, [who has] engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the
same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."
I was just at the Swift Boat forum and saw this.

When I came back this thread was posted!
Why would President Carter or an other Dem even bother to take a phone call from a Swift Boat Vet. Pres. Carter is one mean man. I am usually the poster child for optimism but this election is getting to me.
hope it's something. Isn't there a rumor of something else existing that puts kerry's anti-war protests in a poor light?
What's carter got to do with this?
I agree with you. Not sure this will do anything in the election, unless it also shows that he had to change records to get honorably discharged, etc. If that's the case, then it could be really bad because I think his discharge happened only in the last 4 or 5 years.
I sure don't know what headline is going to be but if you look at the Rats tactics they attack their opponents on their own softspots. They've been hammering Bush on AWOL, his time in Alabama, etc.
Kerry's time commitment doesn't size up. I know things were loose in the Military as Viet Nam was winding down and Uncle Sam was trying to reduce forces. This should be interesting.
Aside from the more obvious Clinton stuff, I remember Larry Nichols having scoop that Hillary would be indicted in 30 days, Bill would resign, etc. How I hoped he was right, but alas.....
I hate to say it, but the more dirt that gets collected on Dems, the stronger their base seems to get. Nothing seems to bother Kerry supporters. I would be outraged if Bush was hiding really rotten stuff that could tip the election, but they don't care. Let's hope this is good.
Ping and check in the morning!
Didn't say the Swiftees were calling. Could be the press.
I've read speculation that Carter secretly pardoned Kerry......
But the Clintons were in the White House then.
For a Presidential candidate, in the middle of a war, who opened his Convention with "Reporting For Duty" and who has said "I served in Vietnam" about 50 million times, and who has said "I defended this country as a young man and I will defend this country as President".....
For it to come out that he received a Dishonorable Discharge would be devastating to him....PERIOD!
It's W. Graham Claytor, and unless I'm having a senior moment, he died some years ago.
No, but evidence of fraud obtaining a Silver Star, which he has displayed on his website over Lehman's signature, would be huge news.
If that's what it is.
Don't forget the Swiftie's were quite active during the campaign then too. I think it's good for Bush to stay positive, but Kerry's record needs to be laid out. That's not negative. That's factual. Having said that, the Swiftie's have a mission before them, and that is to set the record straight. Some may call it negative, that's fine. They have a right to be heard! They've certainly earned it.
> I'm sorry, but I think the Swift Boat thing, and the
> whole Vietnam story has played out and the "undecided"
> don't give a rat's a$$ about it any more.
Most of them get their info from the legacy press, who
have stone-walled the Swifty issue.
For whatever this is to have traction, it needs to be
something the legacy press can't ignore (or debunk).
Nonetheless, the Swifties have often been a bit naive
about our Pravda Press, and may be over-confident of
traction.
We'll know shortly.
Then it must be John Edwards doing the calling.
I personally don't think we are going to see an October surprise until after the debate tomorrow.
