This is a hidden little gem often overlooked. If you think John Kerry is a Chrstian, read the Gospel of John 16:3.

I believe in the laying on of hands. However, the Bible also cautions about having hands laid on you "suddenly". What that means is that if you're the Pastor, you better know who you're laying hands on - whether GOD wants you to lay hands on them .. or for the individual, you better know who's laying hands on you.
Kerry continues to allow this practice to make a SHOW of it. However, laying hands on someone is a very, very dangerous spiritual event .. and it should never be treated lightly.
I wish someone in Friday's debate would've ask Kerry how he felt about government-funded 'art' that includes things like a Crucifix in a vat of urine or the Virgin Mary splattered with cow dung. I'd like to hear that nuanced catholic answer that question with America and his wacko base listening.

It really is a shame that American Blacks enmasse can't see for the life of them, that the Democrat Party has done absolutely nothing for them. The masses of "brainwashed Blacks" will march in lock-step to the polls and vote for John Kerry and four more years of economic slavery that the Democrat Party keeps them in. The good news is that the younger generation of Blacks gets it, and is beginning to march to the tune of a different drum (the drum of security, freedom, opportunity and enterprize that the Republican Party offers).

Even some of us Episcopalians believe in the laying on of hands in the healing process.

I know .. but the Catholic church is turning against Kerry, and I'm glad to see this happening.
Nothing could be further from the truth, especially at the church I happen to attend...our Pastor forbids ANY candidate from taking to the puplpit and stumping. Also, more and more Black pastors are beginning to realize what a colossial failure the Democratic Party has been to our communities. Even the New York Slimes had to concede this in an article that was published on October 5th by David Kirpatrick; it probably took all his strength not to choke on his Starbucks latte while writing the story. The issue of Gay marriage is a very contentious one among Black Christians. So, as another person posted on this forum said, don't be so quick to write all Black Americans off.
