MIAMI -- With just three Sundays left before Election Day, Sen. John Kerry is asking for all the help he can get from black voters and the Almighty.
The Democratic presidential nominee attended two church services Sunday, instead of his usual one, worshipping first with Haitian Catholics and then with black Baptists, where the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton tied his election to the civil rights struggle.
"We have an unfinished march in this nation," Kerry said at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, as many congregants waved fans handed out by the campaign with his slogan, "Hope is on the way."
"Never again will a million African Americans be denied the right to exercise their vote in the United States of America," Kerry promised, referring to the disputed Florida recount in the 2000 presidential race. As he often does before black audiences, Kerry said he has a legal team that will aggressively respond to any allegations of disenfranchisement.

True. Whether you believe it or not. If you vote and empower someone to do evil. You are guilty and an accessory. Just like in our Christian law based legal system.

I believe Bush is already running 2x better with blacks in 2004 than in 2000... I thought that I'd heard he was doing better, also. But 2X, wow. That would be great. (Although still not as good as I'd like to see). Didn't he get something like 9% of black votes in 2000 ??

***Former Rep. Carrie Meek said Kerry is "fighting against liars and demons. ... He challenges the man who walks with a jaunty step." She rocked her hips in an imitation of Bush's swagger as the congregation cheered and Kerry laughed from his high-backed seat behind the pulpit***
And this??? I would be so shamed if Pres Bush took part in something like this most especially in the House of God.

" I think he would be similarly received at a black church with a pastor that supports him".
Perhaps, but the question is why white churches are intimidated by the government and IRS against the very mention of politics in their churchs? White churches have lost their tax exemption for warning against politicians who support abortion, gay marriage, etc. Seems anything goes in the black churches. What gives?
I have worked for years in the civil rights movement. I have always attended integrated churches and for years, though I am white, was a member of a 95% black congregation, leading in the worship there. I believe I am qualified to ask this question: Why does the strict enforcement of "separation of church and state" apply only to whites?

"Kerry and Edwards are taking a stroll around Capitol Hill when he meets a little girl carrying a small basket with a blanket over it.
Curiously, Kerry asks the girl, "What's in the basket?"
She replies, "New baby kittens," and she opens the basket to show him.
"How nice" says Kerry. "What kind are they?"
The little girl says, "Democrats."
Kerry smiles and pats the little girl on the head, and they continue on.
About three weeks later, Kerry, walking around Capitol Hill with another Congressional colleague, sees the same little girl again with the same basket.
Kerry says to his colleague, "Watch this; it's very cute".
As they approach the little girl. Kerry asks the girl, "How are the kittens?"
She says, "Fine."
He then asks, "Again, what kind of kittens are they?"
This time she replies, "Republicans."
Somewhat abashed, Kerry says, "Three weeks ago you said they were Democrats!"
"I know," she says, "But now their eyes are open."

Kerry was going to visit the Catholic National Cathedral outside Washington as part of his campaign. Kerry's campaign manager made a visit to the Cardinal and said to him, "We've been getting a lot of bad publicity among Catholics because of Kerry's position on abortion and the like. We'd gladly make a contribution to the church of $100,000 if during your sermon you'd say John Kerry is a saint."
The Cardinal thinks it over for a moment and agrees to do it.
Kerry shows up, and as the Mass progresses the Cardinal begins his homily. "John Kerry is petty, a self absorbed hypocrite and a nit-wit. He is a liar, a cheat, and a thief. He is the worst example of a Catholic I've ever personally known. But compared to Ted Kennedy, John Kerry is a saint."

Follow the logic.
Kerry says he believes life begins at conception, but he supports abortion anyway.
The Bible says "we ought to obey God rather than men", and doesn't offer an exception for Christians when they're voted to secular leadership posts.
So Kerry is a complete hypocrite, and will obey Planned Parenthood, NOW, NARAL, and the rest of the liberal left rather than God. He will sacrifice babies for votes.

John Kerry IS Running Eagle!
>>>
During a campaign tour of the Apache Nation Wednesday, Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry said he had a plan to increase every Native American's income by $40,000 a year.
Senator Kerry refused repeated requests for details of his plan, however. He also told the Apaches that during his Senate career, he has voted YES 9,637 times for every Indian issue ever introduced.
Before his departure, the Apache Tribe presented the Presidential candidate a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name, Running Eagle.
After Kerry left, tribal officials explained that Running Eagle is a bird so full of crap it can't fly.

Q: How many John Kerrys does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: At least four. One to unscrew the old lightbulb. One to simultaneously announce his courageous commitment to replacing the old bulb. One to vote against funding the new light bulb. And one to denounce George W. Bush and America's Benedict Arnold CEOs for leaving everyone in the dark.
<<<
ROFLOL!!!
Q: Why did John Kerry cross the road?
A: He didn't cross the road. He crossed to the middle to demonstrate his grasp of the nuances and subtleties involved in crossing the road, and was still explaining them to the New York Times reporter when the logging truck hit him.
G. W. Bush and John Kerry somehow ended up at the same barbershop.
As they sat there, each being worked on by a different barber, not a word was spoken. The barbers were even afraid to start a conversation, for fear it would turn to politics.
As the barbers finished their shaves, the one who had Kerry in his chair reached for the aftershave. Kerry was quick to stop him saying, "No thanks, my wife Theresa will smell that and think I've been in a whorehouse."
The second barber turned to Bush and said, "How about you?"
Bush replied, "Go ahead, my wife doesn't know what the inside of a whorehouse smells like."
Dad's Job
Little David was in his 4th grade class when the teacher asked the Children what their fathers did for a living. All the typical answers came up-fireman, policeman, salesman, doctor, lawyer, etc.
David was being uncharacteristically quiet, so the teacher asked him about his father.
"My father's an exotic dancer in a gay cabaret and takes off all his clothes in front of other men and they put money in his underwear. Sometimes, if the offer is really good, he will go home with some guy and make love with him for money. "
The teacher, obviously shaken by this statement, hurriedly set the other children to work on some exercises and took little David aside to ask him, "Is that really true about your father?"
"No," said David, "He works for the Democratic National Committee to Elect John Kerry, but I was too embarrassed to say that in front of the other kids.
