Kerry would give Nukes to Iran

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: I promised a sound bite or two. Yes, two on this Iraq business. Actually, Iran and nuclear material. Here is what Kerry says about Iran and giving them nuclear material.

JOHN KERRY: With respect to Iran, the British, French and Germans were the ones who initiated an effort, without the United States regrettably, to begin to try to move to deter the nuclear possibilities in Iran. I believe we could have done better. I think the United States should have offered the opportunity to provide the nuclear fuel, test them, see whether or not they were actually looking for it for peaceful purposes. If they weren't willing to work a deal, then we could have put sanctions together. The President did nothing.

RUSH: Now, here's the thing about this. There have been sanctions on Iran since Jimmy Carter. We have had sanctions on and off in Iran to what effect? To what impact? Number two, we were not out of this diplomatic effort to approach Iran. The British, French and Germans did not initiate this. We did. We have an ongoing diplomatic effort with Iran, even now. The President said this last night, by the way. I don't know if you remember it. But he did. Now, he says, "I believe we could have done better. The United States should have offered the opportunity to provide the nuclear fuel, test the Iranians, see whether or not they're actually looking for it for peaceful purposes. If they weren't willing to work a deal, then we put sanctions together The President did nothing." Okay. So I guess the plan is we go to the Iranians and say, "You know what? We want to test whether or not you are doing this nuclear business for peaceful reasons." The Iranians say that they're doing it to produce power. Of course, the world doubts them because they've got so much oil they don't need this for power, but they are a terrorist nation and we all know terrorists are looking for nukes. So Kerry wants to offer a test: give them the fuel and see what they do with it and make a deal. This is the same hare-brained thinking, and it's been demonstrated throughout world history. This is a Neville Chamberlain kind of deal. Make a deal with the terrorists? Make a deal with the Iranians? This is nothing more than a rehash of the Clinton policy in North Korea, and look where it's led us. Now, I want to say one thing about this North Korean business because this was also stated by Kerry last night, and while true it is out of context. Yes, it is true the North Koreans have finally put together a nuclear weapons program during the last four years, during the Bush administration. There's no denying that. Their nuclear weapons program came on line within the boundaries of the Bush administration. The president did not deal with this last night. I don't know why, again, but he didn't. The fact of the matter is, you don't put together nuclear weapons overnight or in four years.

Had it not been for the Clinton administration offering this same kind of deal Kerry wants to give the Iranians to the North Koreans, offering them a deal, make a deal with them. We'll give you the nuclear fuel, the power to power your plants and so forth. You make a deal with us that you won't use it for weapons. The North Koreans signed that deal. They're communists! They lie. Madeleine Albright two weeks ago said, "We got tricked." Meaning they broke the deal. They broke the deal back during the '90s, during the Clinton administration. When we gave them the fuel, the nuclear fuel in the '90s for their nuclear power plan.

That's when they began to convert it to weapons-grade plutonium, uranium, what have you, and started working on their nuclear weapons program. They've been working on it since the mid-'90s. Their weapons did come on line in the last four years, but they would not have had the ability to do this, had there not been a policy from the Clinton administration that's exactly like what Kerry is proposing we do with Iran. It's difficult for me to fathom. We hear that this guy is so smart and so brilliant. Here's somebody just willing to ignore the full scope and identity of our enemies and history all in one fell swoop.

Sure, let's give the terrorist nations fuel for nuclear weapons....If we don't blow up, THEN we'll discuss what to do next. In the meantime, prepare to die. Great plan Kerry.

he said he'd give them nuclear mater "to see if they were really looking for it for peacefull purposes. if they're not then we'll put sanctions on them." so, once kerry has made sure osama has nuclear material for a dirty bomb he'll sanction iran so everything will be o.k....

Kerry's said this same thing for months. What he wants to do is give them nuclear capability, and wait to see if they give us back the spent fuel rods. If they don't, why then we'll know they're not our friends. I kid you not. He put this suggestions out there months ago. The man is a total lunatic.

the biggest problem i see is that it seems that not only the msm is now in kerry's pocket, fox news is as well. none of them are calling kerry on iran's nuke giveaway nightmare or his ridiculous claim about the ny subway system. i just finished watching the panel on fox news and they were falling all over themselves polishing kerry boots. between this and the voter fraud i don't see how bush can win. i'll be doing alot of praying between now and election day.

When people realize the absurdity of so many things Kerry said last night, his style points will disappear.

Without being smart alecky- it would be the Bible. From the beginning to the end of time, God's people will be despised.(I consider these to be first the Jew , then the Christian) We are fortunate to have this guide which opens our eyes, but more importantly, we are the current generations of witnesses. Our great question, that we all must answer, which, by the all freepers are doing to a certain degree, is debating, and ultimately deciding, what we do with this.

Bush should have jumped on it. If I were him I would have said, "Whoa, now! Wait just a minute! Let me get this right, you would give a state that is KNOWN to harbor and support terrorists, NUCLEAR MATERIAL and HOPE that they wouldn't misuse it? Are you absolutely MAD? Would you also give them free passage and guns on the next flight to New York and HOPE that they wouldn't use it to crash into the Statue of Liberty?"

If I were moderating this debate, I would have:

a. fallen out of my chair

b. stopped the debate and asked Kerry to explain what he means when he says the wants to GIVE NUCLEAR FUEL to Iran in one sentence and then in another suggesting that the Bush Administration is not leading the effort to sanction Iran, and that only GB, France and Germany are engaging them.

Kerry was reckless last night.

Iran is much more dangerous than North Korea. We're probaby going to have to bomb Iran. Kerry won't. Bush will. But if he says so now the MSM ansd RATS will crucify him.

Actually, it may be better that Bush didn't say that. There are a lot of liberals who won't believe anything negative Bush says about Kerry, no matter how obviously true it may be. But if one liberal says to another "Hey, did Kerry really say what I thought I heard him say?" then there is a possibility of both liberals suddenly realizing that Kerry is dangerous.

You may have missed the lecture on liberals where we covered the fact that they are self-destructive and suicide-mongering freaks. They will see this as a positive, no matter how you say it to them.
