Bush should have jumped on it. If I were him I would have said, "Whoa, now! Wait just a minute! Let me get this right, you would give a state that is KNOWN to harbor and support terrorists, NUCLEAR MATERIAL and HOPE that they wouldn't misuse it? Are you absolutely MAD? Would you also give them free passage and guns on the next flight to New York and HOPE that they wouldn't use it to crash into the Statue of Liberty?"
a. fallen out of my chair
b. stopped the debate and asked Kerry to explain what he means when he says the wants to GIVE NUCLEAR FUEL to Iran in one sentence and then in another suggesting that the Bush Administration is not leading the effort to sanction Iran, and that only GB, France and Germany are engaging them.
Kerry was reckless last night.
Actually, it may be better that Bush didn't say that. There are a lot of liberals who won't believe anything negative Bush says about Kerry, no matter how obviously true it may be. But if one liberal says to another "Hey, did Kerry really say what I thought I heard him say?" then there is a possibility of both liberals suddenly realizing that Kerry is dangerous.
