In your opinion, how did the debates go? Did Kerry get the upperhand (yeah right) or did Bush come out strong?
Also, was it just me, or did Kerry seem a little too prepared for those questions? Kerry usually trips over himself whenever he has to answer something, but he glided through this.
Ditto. (But the thought that Kerry had those questions beforehand did cross my mind about a third of the way in...)
Bush stumbled and bumbled all night. This time he under-estimated Kerry rather than the other way around.
He clearly thought painting Kerry as inconsistent was all he needed to do to win tonight. Calling Kerry a flip-flop got old after 20 minutes, and he had nothing else for the other 60.
Hey,that's one of my favorite words...and yes,Kerry did alot of that.He seems very full of himself.Sure, maybe a smoother bloviator than most but no facts to back up his message.
The President on the other hand did miss a few opportunities...but was steadfast in his stance.A secure America and no global view will decide what we do or how we defend ourselves!
Given Kerry's record in the Senate, I don't believe Kerry believed what he was saying. He tried to come across as more hawkish that Bush, and certainly more hawkish than his record would support. I can't imagine that Kerry's dovish supporters will be happy with what they heard from him.
Every thing Kerry did was nothing more than Monday morning quarterbacking.
So, I wasn't the only one who thought Kerry seemed to ready for the questions. Something doesn't smell right?
I liked the way Bush looked into the camera when he spoke. Kerry never did that.
There were things we wanted Bush to say and looked at him with too critical an eye.
Style - Kerry
Substance - Bush
Shalom.

It was funny to see Kerry doing his usual directing of air traffic, while speaking.
We've got a race on our hands folks. Kerry did what he had to do, and Bush didn't.
I think Bush could have done a lot better. He seemed underprepared and exasperated. He missed several opportunities to hammer Kerry on good points and missed it.
I don't think this is going to change much, but had Bush performed better it could have solidified the death of Kerry's campaign. Now I think Kerry supporters will be hopeful and it could improve Kerry's polling.
I hope I'm wrong because I don't want to see anything that looks like Kerry's gaining momentum going into Nov. 2.
No way the President lost. In my opinion it was a tie, and the tie always goes to the incumbent. Dubya will still be the President come November 3, 2004.
Kerry was fancy dancing around his flip flops and convoluted reasoning with his pompous attitude and pseudo intellectualism. All it proves is that he's an educated liar who counts on the people being stupid enough to be so impressed with his verbosity that they fail to notice that he isn't saying anything.
As I mentioned in another thread, Kerry kept saying he would "win this thing" (the war in Iraq), but he also made it clear that he's against the war in Iraq. I think serious voters will doubt Kerry's resolve regarding Iraq.
Yeah, but can you say what his plan is. All I heard is I have a plan! I didn't hear what the plan was except that he would do it differently.
MRC is going to rip Lehrer a new one.
Kerry didn't really answer questions. He took 5 seconds to answer it and the remaining time to bloviate.
I watched Orange County Choppers. Very enjoyable. Bush will do JUST fine!!

Excellent point - sKerry got to whack away, Bush was on the defensive all night.
Did anyone else think that Mama T wobbled somewhat?
