Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
I'm on a dial-up, now please knock it off!!!
"I suspect that it in the end, the public may conclude that Kerry is better at arguing about policies, but Bush's policies are better, and he is better at implementing them."
Your post reminds me of the lyrics from a My Fair Lady song... Show Me...
snip..
"Never do I ever want
to hear another word.
There isn't one
I haven't heard.
Here we are together
in what ought to be a dream;
Say one more word and
I'll scream!
Sing me no song!
Read me no rhyme!
Don't waste my time,
Show me!
Please don't implore
Beg on the seats
Don't make all the speach
Show me! " ...snip
Bush did good!
"Kerry's plan to give nuclear fuel to the mullahs in Iraq is probably the most reckless policy statement to come out of Kerry's mouth so far in the campaign."
Well, all I'm saying is don't underestimate the recklessness of canceling the bunker busters either - they are both on a par. All these petty dictators are burying their arsenals deeper and deeper - nuke bunker busters is the only way to get at them so it is a deterrent too.
Tonkin's graphic dont bother me at all... The pics are already in my browsers buffer from other threads so it really doesnt take any extra time for them to load. Kerry is a traitor and somebody should say it loud and strong...
Tonk, you rock. (I'm okay...I've been told I can talk smack with the best of 'em. LOL)
Pray for W and Our Troops
Yep,
While Kerry is the much more polished speaker, I can't remember one thing he said. Yet, as the dust settles from this engagement I do remember Bush's arguments. 24-48 hours is going to change the way people look at this debate. Especially as people begin looking at some of Kerry's claims. I'm also curious as to how the debate affected undecided women voters. I think Bush may have brought a few more into the fold.
I agree. Kerry's plans to give nuclear fuel to the mullahs in Iran and shutting down our bunker buster programs are both insane policy initiatives
bttt
And it's past my bedtime, too. LOL.
Actually, your posts are more disruptive than Tonk's.
This has been hashed over on FR and we decided it's fine.
Give it a rest.
Bush spanked Kerry on No.Korea.
Also, Bush essentially told Kerry that, because of Kerry's views and proposals, he was unfit to be President.
Bush won!!
I like you! You're funny and smart.
Liberty - I know what you're saying, and it DOES affect me directly - but I'm still getting the pages loaded.
Now I'll just sit back and watch you question another's service, and the expected responses.
I agree with you NOW. But on first blush I was a little sickened at seeing Pres. Bush squirm so. I got a real charge out of the show when Kerry made one more definitive flip on the "If we knew then what we know now..." questions. I saw 'W' shoot a glance over like, "What in the devil position is it going to be NOW!" It was funny to me.
I guess being back in FreeperLand has put me back in perspective. Kerry did not change any fundamentals.
Eggs Actly! This election is about our survival in a war against fanatical bastards who want us all dead! Skerry came across as not understanding the precarious state of today and as whimpy in begging permission from 'allies' like France and Germany in order to kill the bad guys ... not to mention the feckless repetitions of 'seek the blessings of the U.N. before taking action against those who have murdered our fellow citizens'. I'm a soccer granddaddy, and the prospect of a democrat from the current democrat party being at the helm of state scares the begeebers out of me! It hasn't been enough for those demonspawn to serve up alive unborn children for abortion slaughter in order to get female votes, now they want to serve up fellow citizens for terrorist targeting in order to get the rest of the world to like us as we die! May God have mercy upon US if we the people, the sovereigns of this nation, do not cast a decisive rejection of this demonspawn party.
"no president would EVER use nukes except in retaliation for a nuclear attack on us or our closest allies. It just wouldn't be done"
In 2004, maybe not. In 2010 when Iran has twenty nukes and the Muslims have succeeded with a dirty bomb at the Superbowl, then it's a no brainer.
