Thread 1 - Pre-Debate discussion
Dubya WINS hands down, imho !!!Way to go, Dubya!
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.
I agree. I've known from the moment that NK announced their program what they were up to. They want out from under China's shadow. They want to negotiate only with the U.S. For our future interests, that is against our future interests. China must be involved in the NK talks, and it must be responsible for reining in NK, because nothing we can do in bilateral talks can do that.
Yep I am an attorney. I REALLY PRAY that people don't catch allthe stuff I caught tonight. ;-)
NOW- on concrete plans, W kicked all butt. "I have plans I have plans" and "I was in vietnam" were JFK's talking points, and both mean NOTHING.
Re #2053
You're exactly right. Our President is a gentleman, his opponent is a cad!
Why is it that Terezza looks uncomfortable and ungainly in any situation? She just looked like she'd never worn heels before.
Bush knocked one out of the park with his closing statement. Now for the talking heads.
You're right. Bush let this jerk walk all over him.
This is not defeatism. This is reality, and i pray Karl Rove and Bush will learn from this

Anyone that thinks Bush won in 2000 because of debates or that he will win in 2004 because of debates is falling for the MSM Lefty spin...
I agree. Kerry was on Senate Floor auto pilot and Bush seemed a little off his game. I think he'll do much better next time, but he may have lost a bit of ground this evening.
It's over. Bush did well. Stated his positions.
Kerry used too many generalizations and really focused on trying to get the French and Germans to like us.
President Bush - excellent closing statements - practiced, measured, articulate and on target.
WE STILL DON'T KNOW!
I believe Lubyanka was the name of the KGB prison
Kerry is the one who needed to bury Bush and he failed. Anyone who votes on style points rather than substance during wartime probably is too stupid to be voting.
Yes, Bush could have pulled a Zell Miller here and shredded Kerry. I think Bush was advised to avoid to directly responding to Kerry and to talk at the American people more. I don't think that was the best approach. Bush missed too many openings that way.
With manicured hands we might add
The liberals know about Freep; they have no equivalent so they flock here to try to jerk our chains. The only thing to do is to point out that they are trolling.
If not, I don't see how he could have won the debate.
Dubya wins on substance points
Who do you want as Commander-in-Chief?
