He is French you know. Laying down weapons and all. I don't think the undecideds want to get rid of our nuclear trump cards.

Dang....finally found a reasonable post to reply to! Bush is doing great! Why are so many full of doom and gloom? It's hard to say anything when 80% of your replies are answered by the server with "This Page Cannot Be Displayed". Anyone else get that?

I love Bush, but I'd like to slap him.
Kerry is a big fat target and Bush is missing every opportunity hit him.
This is very frustrating.

Who cares what they think.
Look, like it or not, they are our doppelganger. The difference is that we are a lot more substantive than are they.
Bush closing now.

Kerry just mentioned going into the KGB's file rooms. Was he looking for his own old KGB files, from his traitor days?
No, he was just verifying his change of address went through. He doesn't want to miss the monthly newsletter!
btw, bush wins this one by a knockout.

Lehrer just handed him one on a silver platter and he let it go. BIG mistake.
However, Kerry has absolutely NO plans laid out tonight. He has criticized, but the big question is- do we know more about President Kerry now than we did last night? NO!!!

Democratic Underground is laughing at all the doom and gloom over here. They are posting some of our posts. After Bush wins in a landslide they spend the next 4 years saying," Bush is an illegitimate president, he lost the 1st debate."

The next debate really needs to tip solidly in the President's direction

Why?
Are we voting for a slimey debater or Commander in Chief?

I thought Bush won the coin toss, and bush wanted kerry to go first, but he got to close first.
Lehrer gave the first closing statement to Kerry?

From my point of view, Bush undoubtedly won on substance. But I'm not a swing voter.
I don't think either man won on style.
My view is that in electoral terms, the debate is probably a draw, which is OK for Bush, but not the solid win I wanted to see.
I wish they'd put off the foreign policy debate.

Yeah..a lot like when algore was going off about "dingell-norwood"....whatever!
To: Pharmboy
I'm dying here too. It is painful to watch. Agreed. The cringe factor from Bush tonight is very high.
Too repetitive. Too mundane. He could have killed Kerry five times (by my count) and let the opportunity pass.
He's got a good closing statement, but I'm afraid some people turned this off.
