EARLY PEEK AT POLL RESULTS
Kerry Spot/NRO ^ | 9/27/04 | jim geraghty

Posted on 09/27/2004 11:45:04 AM PDT by Cableguy

Just talked to a senior Republican in Washington. The USA Today/CNN/Gallup poll should be out shortly - Bush up 53-42 among registered, 52-44 among likely voters.

UPDATE: This source doesn't know about the ABC/Washington Post poll that is supposed to be out later today. Overall thoughts from this GOP source: Most of non-public polls are showing Bush up five or six points. He is telling every Bush supporter who will listen not to get complacent - this lead could shrink quickly, although he is reassured that once you throw out most of the odd outliers (Bush up a lot, or Kerry up a bit) the lead has been pretty steady since the convention. Still, he adds, Bush campaign knows "to campaign like they're five points down."

COOOOLLL

One would think that he would be smart enough to know that appealing to the MAC crowd will not be worth many votes.

I've been waiting for some polls this week since Kerry's new stance on Iraq last week......sorry Kerry, it didn't work.

Well, I hate to be a spoil-sport, but this does in fact represent a 6 point drop among likely voters over the past 10 days. Bush similarly dropped 4 to 5 points in the Time poll.

Of course, it is also natural that the race would tighten as we get further from the RNC convention and SwiftVet revelations.... so the tightening of the numbers may bear no revelation to Kerry's latest Iraq war stance.

LOL! Bush could be winning, but some how the MSM will try to point it out as a negative. LOL!

Let them play up the polls and spin them anyway they want. Bush is going to win, and it's not going to be that close. I suspect even Kerry knows that by now. I'd say Bush wins Nationally by 5-7 points, and +125 margin in EV's.

That's been my belief all along. The kerry / Bush contrast in personality alone will drive people away from kerry.

World to USA - "We don't like Bush!"

USA to World - "We do!"

It's gonna be fun seeing the looks on the anti-Bush folks' faces bright and early Nov. 3rd!

If Kerry doesn't have the performance of his life in the first debate (which is on foreign policy), and Bush numbers grow by a few points between then and the 2nd debate, I expect the DNC, leftist supporters, and Kerry himself to implode with a series of outbursts that make Howard Dean look stable.

Most Holsteins are Democrats. They're of an affable personality, markedly stupid, have their young taken away at two days of age never to be seen or thought of again, rely entirely upon the largesse of others for their survival and their only economic activity requires a heavy federal subsidy.

Will someone please post this over at DU so I can watch the convulsions? They don't know about this pole and are still debating how Bush will "rig the handshake" at Thursday's debate. Glad they are focussed on the really important issues.

Dpoes this survey take into account the vast numbers of dead people added to the voter rolls by the Democrat voter registration groups?

Bush 41 got 38% in 1992 if memory serves me right.
