COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry canceled a campaign visit to Columbus on Thursday because of a strained voice, a campaign spokeswoman said Wednesday night. "With the debates coming up, he needs to balance his campaign schedule and keep his voice strong," spokeswoman Kathy Roeder said.

Kerry also canceled a trip to Iowa on Thursday to rest his voice, and the campaign said vice presidential nominee John Edwards would take his place.

No!!! I demand Kerry get back out on the trail! Either he rejoin the speaking circuit immediately or G.W. should get another hour of free speech on the networks. Since the networks aren't going to allow him the latter, we need Kerry out there making the case why G.W. should be President. LOL
Carville wasn't his usual charming self? Maybe he saw the Gallop release about trust in the media. Their PR firm is in trouble.

FL is a battleground state now only in the minds of deluded 'Rats. Bush has FL sewn up, with a margin adequate to compensate for the institutionalized voter fraud in the state. I welcome Kerry wasting time and funds in FL from here on out.
Given that you're a rabbit choker (resident of SD), is there sufficient shame of Dasshole to retire his deeply sorry butt?

Hey, we were told Kerry wouldn't take a day off from now until election day. Come on fancy boy! Here's another "fancy lad"...by gosh - looks like SKerry might have served with him

Oh, boy! What if Kerry was asked the first question at the debate and he opened his mouth and nothing came out but a croak.
I'd pay a fortune to see this.

This is a stroke of genius. The smartest thing he could do is keep his mouth shut.

Although I'm concerned about Eagleton/Torch/Carnahan
capers, I sense that the one issue on which Kerry
actually has a firm position and some backbone is
his candidacy.
Being JFK-2 is his Ordained Destiny, and nothing
shall stop him.
He might actually work up the nerve to fire some
Clintonistas before stepping down from the race.
(Well, maybe not actually "fire" - he'd whisper
to a Secret Service guy to not let them back in
the morning.)

If his voice stays lost until after the election, he might just have a chance!
PAGING: "DR. RED!" IS THERE AN E.N.T. IN THE HOUSE! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY.

Yes. I believe there is a slightly better than 50-50 shot of electing John Thune this time. In the past, the Rep. have always been leery of taking him on in earnest. Not this time. And you can see how the political landscape has just got the liberal Daschle not knowing which way to twist. You may have noted that in the pathetic debate performance of his. I think, really, that John is getting the nod. I heard a real solid old dem. woman (Catholic) say that though she was sorry, she felt it was time to replace Daschle this year. And the polls lately had Thune up by 1-2.
"Rabbit choker" Never heard that before! But I am a jackrabbit at SDSU.

He can afford to dis OH and IA now that he's lost those two states already. He needs to focus on the dwindling number of battleground states where he still has hope: PA, NH, MN, NM, and OR. Of course, those states alone won't get it done, so add FL to the mix.
