Cool.
Now I realize that within this new alternative media there exists some jealosy,. I sense that some people dont want to give the blogosphere the full credit. They have to parcel it out because every body wants a piece of the action; this is quite normal, this is human nature. The fact of the matter is that it was the blogosphere and it was a couple of sites: Powerline and FreeRepublic. And FreeRepublic has been one of the most impugned blogs / websites in the history of websites by the very institution that has been brought down.
When Dan Rather talked about partisan political operatives, he means those who lurk at FreeRepublic. Who is FreeRepublic, its ordinary Americans liberals look down at ordinary Americans, dont know have enough decision making power, [?] do the right thing, not smart enough
You dont know how much it grates on them at CBS that its something like FreeRepublic or one of their chat rooms or one of the FReepers there or the Powerline you have no idea that it irritates them that that kind of person brought them down. An average, ordinary untrained journalist that you just do not know how this irritates them inside. More than the fact that they got caught, its who caught them that irritates them.
And, so just as I started out I was a fad, and I was a liar, and I made it up and I was bad for America and I posed threats to democracy, as the cover of Time said. So now the same things are being said about the bloggers. Fox news has had its turn and we all continue rotating in the criticism carousel of the left.
You left out a significant comma.
Rush may be a Freeper but he's no Buckhead.
Just kidding, I'm a Ditto head myself.
We are all Buckhead.
All your Buckhead are belong to us.
To the ramparts, Pajamahadeen!
Buckhead's name might have to go into the hall of fame. He is no longer anonomous.
How on earth are we going to maintain our collective (excuse) humility after this? Or should we?
"HE he he...Are we becoming mainstream...will I have to wear a tux now while posting?"
If you start getting the big head, try wearing a white tie with your jammies and bunny slippers.
It is so funny that WE are supposedly the "bloggers in PJs."
Most the freepers I have met are the county chairmen of their local Republican party, etc. Here, in MY town, most of us are in the local county Republican women's club. We man the polls during elections. We PAY for and pass out the yard signs and bumper stickers, etc. We are teachers, lawyers, doctors, parents, etc. We are law abiding citizens. We love our country, we honor our parents, we respect authority, we pledge the flad. We are the activists. We are educated. We are mad as Zell and we simply will NOT take it anymore!
DemocRATS hate US!
Rush said the BLoggers on FreeRepublic aka The Pajama Hadeen took down CBS!
Thankfully, Rush referred to us as FREEPERS, not the "Pajamahadeen." (I personally see no reason why we would want to be referred to by a name that smacks of the Islamist Mujahideen.)
I agree. I think a most appropiate name is Pajama People.
A nice stiff, rather large, RED bow tie, with your jammies and bunny slippers will be quite appropriate! You can add a top hat like Lincoln wore OR a chef's hat (your choice). but just remember the big RED bow tie..... LOL
When I heard that, I felt so proud to be a freeper. Thanks to all you guys who KNOW how to get the info out to those like me who are limited on ability to do "puter thangs".
...Yes, I heard it. It made me proud to be an ordinary American!...
AND IT MADE ME PROUD TO BE A FREEPER.
Today my sons stand on the walls to protect our freedom. I'm an old man and my time on the wall is over, but I can still watch for some S.O.B. like Dan Rather and the rest of the MSM fifth column coming from behind...Scumbag filth.
Kerry betrayed us soldiers once. I 'll be damned if that S.O.B. does it to my sons.
Hmm, does this mean no more jokes? Nah, a good laugh makes the continuing idiocy of the Left bearable. Besides, once Kerry is an official nonperson...Nov. 3, we'll have Hill to deal with -- She Who Must Be Obeyed -- she who intends to take away those nasty Bush tax cuts, plus a whole lot more we have, for the common good. We'll need a sense of humor. Jim Robinson and the rest of the grownups who visit this site will simply have to put up with puns and jokes.
I was driving & listening when Rush praised FR so highly.....I got so excited I ran into a clothing store & bought myself a new pair of pajamas....I felt I'd earned them......LOL
Ahem, no American is ordinary.
Well said!
No! That's what makes FreeRepublic wonderful. We chip in with ideas, opinions, knowledge, humor, and what we can afford. God has a hand in all this. (Plus Jim Robinson, of course.)
This site kept me sane for eight long years of Clinton in the White House. (We're like the Minutemen of Lexington and Concord, and they were 'ordinary Americans, too.)
Rush has it right as always ~ damn he's good!
Indeed this country owes a hugh debt to Rush.
