From the AP: The News in Photographs The Day's Top 25 Stories- NY, NJ, CT, US, Entertainment Your Hourly Forecast
Eyewitness News' political reporter Dave Evans says the first sign of something going on came when security around the president's visit got even tighter than usual.
He says authorities are looking for a 55-year-old man named Lawrence J. Ward in connection with the reported attempt on the president's life.
Ward is said to be driving a blue Toyota sedan with a New York license plate: BRF-6596.
Seventh Avenue is blocked off because of the incident.
We'll have the latest here as it's available and on Eyewitness News tonight.
BTTT
Now the kooks are believing they'd be doing us a favor by killing the president. This is what comes with all the hatred, all the red meat lies being pushed by the left.
God continue to bless this godly man. Surround him with guardian angels and protect him every day!
Sounds like the stuff that Drudge was talking about last night on his radio show.
I agree with you totally. The RATS have done everything they can to make the public hate President Bush and this is the result. If anything happens to him, there should be riots in the streets in every city and town in this country. ALL against the Democrats since they are the ones that fomented this hate.
Never heard his show.
Yes, that's what jumped out at me too. Between the reported attempt and what seems to be a news blackout, I'm holding my breath and praying until we have confirmation that the President is unharmed.
With a name and license plate #, shouldn't be
difficult for police to find him.
Are there any updates from WABC or other local NYC resources?
This has to be the filthiest campaign I've ever seen in my life. I think Rush is right.... The left is imploding and heaven knows where this will all end. The Rats are cornered and lashing out. They make me sick.
...I don't understand this. I thought liberials were Pacifists. Ooops, I guess this one didn't get the memo.
It seems that DU is down right right now. Database is glitching. Looks like the may be cleaning some archived posts. Do ya think????
Naaaahhhhh! They wouldn't do a thing like that..... would they?
BWAAAHAHAHA! Poor Rats. They can't win for losing.
FYI, the Secet Service is currently chasing not one, but *five* distinct, separate, credible threats against our beloved President. You may hear about the others once they've got better information.
I don't know how you know this, but I should probably take your word for it......I don't like hearing it at all. I've feared for his life since he became President.
I wonder how many of them are in NY where the President is speaking at the UN tomorrow. Do you have any info on what has become of the particular threat that's the subject of this thread? Was it a threat, or was it an attempt?
There are two Lawrence Wards (no middle initial) at the FEC, one who donated to Bush, one to Kerry.
Do you have a source Defense of Liberty?

Not that I can print here, no. I imagine the press will get it sooner or later, though, if I've already heard about it. I just hope to God that they get the bastards long before they get near W.
I don't like it either. Particularly as Bush was elected in a "10's" year... and that has historically been unlucky for Presidents.
I don't have any other information I can share.
