The venue might matter . . .
amen to that!
Hey, thanks for reminding us about the www.Swiftvets.com
They have a new ad up on the site, too!!
Thanks ABC
The Repubs better be playing chess for the coming attack of the liberal lawyer onslaught.
Ten thousand liberal lawyers out on election night, standing up for all those poor, poor, minority voters?
I'm new here, but I see some of the folks who've been around are saying they haven't had this much fun (Rathergate) since Monicagate, or Electiongate 2000.
2004 may produce "Lawyergate". Beware of what you wish for. :-)
If so, there'll be enough hot air floating around to inflate a fleat of Zepplens.
In all honesty though, I think what all this is leading up to is the end of the Democratic party as we now know it.
we can dream can't we?
What scandal?
Tough.
ABC is showing their bias here. What do they care if the interview was heavily edited, which it wasn't, anyway? They should have simply said that the Swift Boat Veterans didn't have the rights to the footage. The above comment sounds like something from the Kerry campaign.
It's amusing, but only to us, who are familiar with the medals controversy. For those who aren't, it's just going to blow right over their heads. And people don't trust anything that edited---it runs like it was edited by John Belushi. Haaaaaiiiii---YAH!!
Ah, love it.
We take on seeBS
Swifties take on abc.

Let's Roll
I tend to agree with you. The previous Swift Boat ads were very weighty... This one is feels more like an everyday attack ad. Although, I do think it is probably more effective than those typical type of ads since even the average Joe has "heard" about the flip flops... With this, they see it in action.
But it does look heavily edited. It might turn some of the people off that would have been affected by the earlier Swift Boat ads. I don't know... maybe if they have some target demographics that they know it will work on.
Yep, the Swifties are battle scarred warriors, and smarter than most give credit for. They have parlayed a $500,000 ad buy into a world changing event. They have a goal, and are probably dusting off some brain cells they haven't used in decades; the brain cells gained from their wartime encounters to anticipate their enemies moves and counter them. God knows, the Democrats are their sworn enemies forever. I'll bet (hope) they've got some hard evidence to spring round about October. They could teach stategery to W! These guys are either brilliant or incredibly lucky to get to influence our election in a positive way. My hats off to them for their tough skin and tenacity.
GO SWIFTEEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hated the ad at first. I had to play it several times in a row before it sunk in. I'm not sure it is going to be effective with the general public. And if you haven't seen the "medals" ad, or you're not familiar with Kerry's anti-war history it may go over your head. But just the same - "Go Swifties!"
If the swifties didn't get expressed written permission from ABC to use the video, they cannot use the video.
Well, we don't own their license.
Since other media outlets are doing the same thing to MOVEON.ORG it's probably better to let it go. The interview can be quoted but it can't be shown, and I'm not sure ABC isn't doing the right thing. They have a right to protect the video they shoot from being used for partisan purposes.
