Blogger Who Faulted CBS Documents Is Conservative Activist (L.A Times RATS out Buckhead!)
L.A Times ^

WASHINGTON — It was the first public allegation that CBS News used forged memos in its report questioning President Bush's National Guard service — a highly technical explanation posted within hours of airtime citing proportional spacing and font styles.

But it did not come from an expert in typography or typewriter history as some first thought. Instead, it was the work of Harry W. MacDougald, an Atlanta lawyer with strong ties to conservative Republican causes who helped draft the petition urging the Arkansas Supreme Court to disbar President Clinton after the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the Times has found.

Hecky yes, how did they get Buckhead's name?

I know that a couple of days ago Buckhead wouldn't disclose his name, rank or serial number. Are they speculating to enable themselves to discredit the conservative activist scum that he must ohmygodalmighty surely be?

On the other hand if Buckhead is indeed Harry MacDougald why can't he have observations? As Ann Coulter so aptly put it, a fourth grader could have seen that the memos were forgeries.

"Freepers collectively possess more analytical horsepower than the entire news division at CBS,"

I'm new here but it doesn't take long to see how true that statement is. WTG Buckhead!!

does this make any sense?

Only in Chris Mattew's little brain. Scanned images are just photo files, they need to be converted into asc values in order to use the microsoft font set.

MIDI - OUT OF TIME - right column, next to last MIDI

They are leftists to the core...it's time that they are shown the door
For DemocRATS they're shilling shamelessly
It isn't too surprising...they're losing advertising
They are going down in flames, the poor L.A. TIMES

The gig is almost up for the L.A. TIMES
Let us bid a fond farewell to the L.A. TIMES
They are really out...out to lunch without a doubt
The gig is almost up for the L.A. TIMES

They had tried to stop FR...but they did not get very far
The FReepers grew...they're stronger every day
It isn't too surprising...they're losing advertising
They are going down in flames, the poor L.A. TIMES

The gig is almost up for the L.A. TIMES
Let us bid a fond farewell to the L.A. TIMES
They are really out...out to lunch without a doubt
The gig is almost up for the L.A. TIMES

Lessons they refuse to learn...it's for the truth their readers yearn
And now they can't give it away for free
It isn't too surprising...they're losing advertising
They are going down in flames, the poor L.A. TIMES

The gig is almost up for the L.A. TIMES
Let us bid a fond farewell to the L.A. TIMES
They are really out...out to lunch without a doubt
The gig is almost up for the L.A. TIMES
Oh, the poor L.A. TIMES...oh, the poor L.A. TIMES

TankerKC was the first alerter.

Howlin, perhaps this would be a good time to have your "official history" of this incident posted as a separate thread (yet again, if it has not been a separate thread before). I have a copy of it readily handy if you don't.
FReepmail me if you like, and I'll get it to you. You can add other items then if you wish.

If you do this, it would be good to coordinate with the Sidebar Moderator to keep it atop one or two headings for ready reference this weekend. This looks like it could be hot topic now that the Old Media is really excited about giving us exposure.

Ok, a few problems with that article. They mention Affirmative Action twice and fully define it. Why mention it twice and go through the trouble to define it. They are insinuating the race card when nothing could be further from the truth.

Secondly, they mention that the head of an organization that Buckhead gave a pittance $250 to is now a 'senior strategist' for the Bush campaign'. Following this logic, any of us who give money to the Bush campaign can be connected to the chairmen of the Bush campaign AFTER he leaves the Bush campaign!

I mean, I can understand them outing Buckhead and all, I mean, it is 'news' in a sense. But to then write it that way is ridiculous. You wonder why the LA times laid off all these people a few weeks ago and have plunging viewership..... geez.

just another instance of disqualifying a fact by accusing the accuser of bias.

We all know that every journalistic covering the elections are independents politically.

I have NOT read the previous 300 messages, but if Jim ever posted a picture in here and referenced a pic from his own machine by IP or better yet domain name they could have found out that way. But that assumes that he is running his own domain server and it's registered with ARIN under his own name.

The problem with your theory is the only way they could get his ISP information would be from Jim since ISP information isn't posted anywhere.

I'm a mod on another board which is owned by my son. ISP's are logged but can only be seen by those with admin capacities. The only reason we need to have that information is in the event we need to ban by ISP someone who trolls excessively or posts certain banned pictures.

No offense, but isn't there an implication in your post, whether intended or not, that FR has released this personal info about Buckhead? Shouldn't you post this comment to Jim, also, since you reference him? As a question to the owner of this forum?
