ABC News has an exclusive interview with Col. Stoudt, the retired colonel who allegedly pressured Killian to cover for Lt. Bush during his Air National Guard stint according to forged documents aired by CBS News.
Stoudt says the docs are fake, he never pressured Killian about Bush and he did nothing to help Bush get into the Air National Guard in fact he was happy to have as many pilots as he could.
Yes inded NB is beautiful. Home of the amazing Slitterbaun, The oldest coninuously operating dance hall in Texas (Gruen danc hall) and John Newcome's tennis ranch.
BTW--this retired Coln. lives withint- mere spitting distance of both the Travis County RATS and Van Os--Burkett's infamous San Antonio high-rolling Rat lawyer.
LOL
It keeps getting better and better. The exposure of the Old Media will be the story of this campaign. We are experiencing an earthquake of monumental proportion. In terms we Californians understand, it would be a 9.5. The mainstream is crumbling, falling into the ocean, and those with Arizona property can now go surfing.
But if the memos hadn't been proven to be forgeries, who would believe anything he has to say?
So where is CBS headed with this? Are they ever going to bother to come clean, or are they going to throw in the towel, and pull the plug on their news programing?
I hope their shareholders take the issue up personally with Dan.
Maybe he was too busy making movies.
I thought Dan "the Dem" Blather was researching the issue aggressively. I thought he wanted to be the one to break the story of the memos' authenticity. Funny how he let ABC get to the punch first. Must've been too busy interviewing 86 year old secretaries and Dem kooks.
Oops! I think Dan Rather just soiled HIS pajamas.
Who you gonna believe? All the principles associated with the story or CBS?
And all roads in this phony story lead back to Dem activist buddies of Rather's daughter. But, of course, the mainstream media is always objective, non-partisan pragrons of truth-telling. [/sarcasm] The rest of the so-called mainstream media better hurry up with their purported investigations, because their credibility is on the line also.
This is really big for Staudt to come out. He had said he was not going to do any more interviews after 2002.
He had turned away reporters just a week or two ago.
Reporting for duty, Sir!
(Pajamahadeen...love it.)
It's like two hunting parties set up on the same field. Someone hits a deer & it doesn't go down. Both parties are gonna follow the same blood trail & worry about who gets to claim the kill after it's found.
Oh what a tangled web we weave,
when first we practice to deceive,
But if you are Dan on CBS
You go and make one hellova mess.
So big and holey and totally fake
Worse than what your spider mom could make.
I am wondering what happened to Scott Pelley, who got the first interview with President Bush for CBS, not Rather (Bush isn't dumb.)
I can't for the life of me figure out what was going through Rather's and his staff's heads. I keep repeating:
Occam's Razor
Occam's Razor
Occam's Razor
Occam's Razor
Occam's Razor
I was hoping this man would comment. He substantiates the family's claims over the secretary.
Wonder if Brit Hume will interview him?
Looks like he just couldn't stand to listen to CBS's claims about the "truth" of the forged memos any longer.
Staudt must be pretty po'd. My best guess is that he is a guy who just likes to be left alone and wants no 15 minutes of fame, but that it got to be too much for him.
