So where is CBS headed with this? Are they ever going to bother to come clean, or are they going to throw in the towel, and pull the plug on their news programing?

I hope their shareholders take the issue up personally with Dan.

Even if CBS fires Rather, Mapes, etc. it will be years, if ever, that they can regain the public confidence. If CBS doesn't fire them, the network might as well fold the doors or the public will force them into bankruptcy. What advertiser would be willing to be seen there?
