Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) made a brief stop at the airport as he concluded his two-day bus tour to locations in West Virginia and Ohio. Your dad doesn't appear to be very upset in the picture. Did he make any effort to step away from the guy when he came toward your sister?
So you're saying that if it was you, you'd leave your little kids alone in a hostile crowd, and start a riot.
All I can say is.... WOW.
When we find out the name of the union guy I expect all you Sherlocks to file back in here one by one and turn in your badges.
Deal?
I'm not buying it. Like I said, paternal instinct would dictate my foot breaking off in this "union thug's" rear end if he physically grappled with my three year-old daughter.
That's it, Dan. Stand by the story.
If someone physically confronted your THREE YEAR-OLD, your knee jerk reaction wouldn't be to open up a can of whup ass on said assailant? I'm not talking about premeditating a response. It's instinct. Touch my child and you're going down, no questions asked.
He's just standing there.
How many is he allowed to attend?
Your dad doesn't appear to be very upset in the picture. Did he make any effort to step away from the guy when he came toward your sister?
So now you're calling the sister a liar?
Change your tagline. The fact that you're not the least bit suspicious indicates you can be suckered.
For me, instinct would not be to throw my 3 year old to the side so I could fight.
Ahh. OK. OK. Too little sleep causes brain damage! My apologies.
It is clear that standing up for what you believe in is a trait your family shares. Good job on that!
I disagree with those that find previous news mentions of your father to be a sign that he is a professional victim or some such nonsense. They seem to think that after one attack your family should have learned their lesson. Your family should have learned the fear that keeps people from speaking up. Your family should have learned the lesson that union thugs have been teaching for years - Shut up or we will hurt you.
I disagree with those people. I applaud you and your family for standing up for what you believe in.
Ever try letting a good (bad for kerry) thing be repeated, over, over, over, and over?
This story and pics need to be sent to every one in email folders, and then request they do likewise.
We only have us to spread the word via "New Media." the old media kerry boosters will not carry our water. So suck it up, do some minor heavy lifting for the home team.
Sure. I'll be the first to admit I'm wrong. I hope I AM wrong. My gut says otherwise...
I'm asking her a couple of questions. She said her dad is upset. He doesn't appear to be upset then, so he must be upset now.
You speak the truth. Two of my three children are 4 and almost 3, if one did that to the other, it would be time to brawl, not cry.
Your instinct would be... what then?
Is one of your brothers named "Bogdan"?
I think he looks very upset, sink.
You make a good point, but as a mother, sometimes you just keep your cool for the sake of your kids. If you react badly, they tend to be upset even more.
