Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004, at the Tri-State Airport in Huntington, W.Va. Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites) made a brief stop at the airport as he concluded his two-day bus tour to locations in West Virginia and Ohio. Well, maybe not. But just because it's fake doesn't necessarily mean it's not accurate, does it?
Heh heh heh.

You may not think that is a good use of YOUR time, but the simplest explanation is the preferred one,and the simplest explanation here is that he is a passionate Republican. Not for me. I am a passionate Republican, and I would go to a Republican rally, not a Democrat rally.
He had to sneak the poster in, obviously.
The fact that he's gotten his name and picture in the press TWICE before is very suspicious. I don't think we've heard the last of this.

So the fact that the Rather-gate documents are forgeries aren't an issue either, I suppose? Bush should still have to answer the serious questions that the "memos" raise? Give me a break!

So what?? Even if this is true -- so the "F" what? Great, a Kerry supporter pops a kid's balloon -- tell me something I don't know! Meanwhile, the Democrats are crushing the skulls of eight-month term babies and providing comfort and aid to our enemies in the War on Terror and I'm being tagged a Democrat troll by Old Cracker for stating the obvious!
This is all the proof I need: The Dad stands there with a hang-dog look on his face. What father wouldn't take this guy down IMMEDIATELY for interacting with his child and DESTROYING something she has in her hands. This guy would be black and blue from stem to sturnum if my child was
threatened.
It's staged.

I agree. Most 3yr olds would be crying in RAGE as opposed to looking hysterical and scared if their brother yanked a sign out of her hands. As a fulltime mother, I can tell you that 3yr olds make terrible two's look tame.
Is that his son? I don't know. Don't all white men look the same?
Is this father a serial protester? So what! I'd feel the same way if a democrat's child attending a pro-Bush rally was treated like this. IMO, most people that attend these kinds of rallies are of the "serial" type, anyway. Why point fingers at this guy?

The Democratic party should have to answer the serious questions the photo raises.
You are beginning to sound like Dan Rather.
I do fault both parties for creating an atmosphere that is becoming very dangerous. Whether these pictures showing assaults at Republican and Democratic rallies are real or fake, someone is going to take it at face value and people are going to get hurt.

But just because it's fake doesn't necessarily mean it's not accurate, does it? I know you're joking, but if this "phony" phenomenon becomes a trend we'll be truly lost as a civilization.

These people are like vultures. Notice the woman in the visor yelling. How about the doofus in the green hat turned backwards. No shame.

Not over the top at all. My deepest sympathy on the loss of your brave son. You have earned the right to speak to the union and you did so wonderfully.
Many many prayers in the hopes that you find comfort......somehow.

To everyone:
I am the eldest of the Parlock clan. I am Sophia's older sister. To clarify for all of you, the photo WAS NOT A SET-UP. Perhaps it is hard for some of you to believe that Kerry supporters really can be that cruel. She is crying real tears, the thug in the picture is NOT one of our brothers, Dad really IS upset, and boy on the right is a brother and has fists clenched ready to fight. I am disappointed that some of you think a Bush supporter would actually set something like that up. One of my other brothers has been on some of the other threads clarifying other questions. I thought I should get on here and clarify before things got blown out of proportion. To the rest of you who have shown nothing but support THANK YOU! Dad had no intention of causing problems. He merely took my sister and brother out to show support of the President. It is a sad day when we cannot assemble peacefully in support of the President. Someone mentioned it was a shame Dad took a 3-year old with him in protest. There is a difference in protesting and supporting. He was not heckling, not chanting, yelling, nor antagonizing. He was merely standing there with signs. There is no crime against that. This is America, one should think that he would be able to take his young daughter out and show support without being concerned about her safety among fellow West Virginians. Also, I am disappointed with the WV comment. No, not everyone in WV is related. BTW My brothers look NOTHING like that thug in the photo! Zoom in and take a better look!

Exactly. Let's call a spade a spade. Obfuscating is for the left. We look like fools, so let's not encourage it.
Remember, Rathergate continues to bleed because he insists on fighting the truth. If this episode with the little girl was staged, we need to disassociate ourselves from it.
It's called "ammo for the enemy".

Do we really expect the DUmmies to ever simply apologyze.
It's always someone else's fault.
It's always a set up.
It's always numerous curse words with no coherent thoughts at all.
