Do you have a proof in an official memo from Kinko's? I would not trust anything else. I have my CBSstandards...
To: KMC1
Who ELSE has an account there? Anyone named Rather...or Barnes?
To: OHelix
...including taking in a photo of Rather's daughter and asking "Does she come in here?"

Burkett may well be behind the memos, but he didn't just 'produce' them at Kinko's a week ago Tuesday. Cbs had then long before that. Their 'experts' had already been shown/told about them by that time.

I agree. His name has been floating for a few days.
The whole affair will be dismissed because he's a nutcase, takes the heat off the DNC and sKerry's campaign.

Kinkos also have computers with older version of Photoshop on them. At least the one here does.

Sounds like the old secretary turned out to be Rather's Rosa Lopez of OJ trial fame.

"Can you imagine anyone with much skill doing this bad a forgery? Doing it on Microsoft word? If you are 50 years old or older how do you fail to remember that computer printers are not typewriters? If you are in your 20s don't you research what was in use in 1973? Would I try to take a picture of a guy in 1973 by having him sitting in a 1976 car? This whole thing does not ring true.
The more I think about this the more I think this must be some sort of setup or con act. I wonder if someone really hates Rather. Perhaps a former employee of CBS news. Could it be that CBS bought the story? Could CBS have had Rathers daughter offering to buy dirt on Dubya?Could someone think hey a half hour's work at Kinkos and a pitch to Rathers daughter, would be followed by smome cash from Rather? What else explains the story? Could Kerry have been offering bucks for dirt on Bush and an enterprising Word user... decided to try to make a few bucks?... and they fell for it?
What if the Kerry Campaign was trying to buy dirt on Bush .. and bought a forgery. What if the Kerry people vouched for the fake Documents being valid. Would Rather believe a top Kerry staffer over his own hired experts?
It appears Rather fell for some sort of Con, and is now between a rock and a hard place.
Something has to explain CBS buying these very sloppy forgeries. The source had to be very very believable to CBS."
The conspiracy theory only works if you know CBS and Dan Rather are not going to verify the authenticy of the documents.

By itself, this says nothing except someone used a Kinko's fax machine--and probably a copier. The memos themselves have already been thoroughly torn apart, though. This information does give a basis for investigation, however. I would say, "No one could be that stupid to use a Kinko's computer," but then I remember that someone used a computer at all to forge these.

Wouldn't it be interesting to look through the files left on the Kinko's computers. I certainly wouldn't use my personal computer. Wish we had someone close by to take a peek. Perhaps a news agency along side to verify the findings.
