You are right. Maybe I don't want to fast forward! Maybe I should just sit back and enjoy the scent of victory on the horizon! :)

John Ziegler (KFI AM 640 radio host) just played
a parody about "Lying Dan" to the tune of AMERICAN PIE.

It was great! Especially the lyric.. "...the day 60 Minutes died..."

The lyrics are at:

Do you know about photoshop/computer color printing of documents/computer publishing?

KINKO's is to publishing what internet cafes are to net browsing and email.

My sis publishes her map book updates at KINKO's.

They also have other services like copying, faxing, etc.

Lots of companies use KINKO's to print up their in house documents/meeting report notebooks/etc. rather than doing it themselves.

Significance?

KINKO's is evidentally in the chain of custody of evidence of where the phony memos came from and who sent them to CBS and who created them.

They probably had to have Burkett fax them several different versions of the memos until they got one they could realistically pass off as being from the 70s. :)

"I had to laugh when I read that Rather is now beginning to think the memos may be fraudulent and that he wants to be the one to break that story! WTF!!! The guy is a friggen loon!"

Get him outta there! The man needs to go home. . .

I would ask if CBS know how bad this is; but Rather IS CBS.

Thanks, sort of figured this must be the case, but you never kinow.

Considering the title of the thread - imagine what must be going through th mind of someone who is not aware of what Kinkos is!!

My gut instinct tells me they weren't duped. From what I can see, Rather hates Bush and he wanted this story bad. Bad enough to try and get away with it, even if he knew the memos were fakes?...possibly.

I agree. Rather has been around too long to be duped. I think he was a co-conspirator. He took a shot and lost.

I really do think he has lost it. 72 years old with many years of good service to the news community before he got overzealous with his personal politics and self worth. It's very sad. At the peak of his career he has squandered it.

It's "What's the Frequency, Kenneth's" method of CYA.

Well, I agree with you; but only if you back up your/Rather's time frame a few years!

Do think Rather has been overzealous for years - he just bumped into this one; head on and with more than an 'ouch'.

At seventy-two; I hope he has more than peaked! And he has gotten away with enough already; time to go home!

Do a search on google for Dan Rather and Castro. You'll turn up some interesting reading.
