DRUDGE SIREN:
CBS Guard Documents Traced to Texas Kinko's...
WASH POST: Documents allegedly written by deceased officer that raised questions about Bush's service with Texas National Guard bore markings showing they had been faxed to CBS News from a Kinko's copy shop in Abilene, Texas... Developing...
What's so shocking about this? Doesn't everyone get their forgeries at Kinkos?
Texans for Truth was established by Glenn W. Smith, also the Director of the 20,000-member Texas online activist group, DriveDemocracy.org.
DriveDemocracy is a Texas-based organization initially funded through a generous start-up grant from MoveOn.org.
Glenn W. Smith is managing director/consultant to the progressive Rockridge Institute of Oakland, California. Smith lives in Austin, Texas. His email is glenns@affinitydynamics.com.
We(Rockridge Institute) are grateful to the Open Society Institute (George Soros), the Nathan Cummings Foundation, the Marguerite Casey Foundation and MoveOn.org for providing us with funding that enables us to begin our work.
Political insider and journalist Glenn W. Smith is offering a coveted look from a man that has covered politics as a journalist, managed campaigns and been a business colleague of advisor to former President Clinton
GLEN W. SMITH, of moveon.org fame, presents the Politics of Deceit : Saving Freedom and Democracy from Extinction.
the author reveals why our political customs threaten democracy and freedom with extinction, and illustrates how we can ultimately fix the problems. Among the most hopeful advances for freedom and democracy is the development of new interactive media, including the successful efforts of MoveOn.org and other online groups. Smith skillfully argues that our shrugging acceptance of the politics of manipulation doesnt mean our political practices are right or just--it just lends a credible advantage to politicians like George W. Bush, who would mislead rather than lead, and who believe their own power is paramount to the health of democracy.
Glenn Smith who managed the unsuccessful 2002 Texas gubernatorial campaign of Democrat Tony Sanchez.
Smith is a former managing director at the consulting firm Public Strategies, which employs former Texas Governor Ann Richards.
Texans for Truth plans to spend $100,000 to $200,000 to run the ad for a week in closely contested states that are home to large numbers of families of US troops killed in Iraq.
You are priceless!!
Going to Kinkos to fax stuff, in case it has not already been mentioned, would be to keep distance between the memo and the source. They would not likely fax it from a home fax.
Is there a DNC office in Abilene?
Whomever is the next heroic Buckhead or TankerKC and gets to the Texas Kinkos in question and gets the goods, might want to maintain a little "radio silence" on thier movements until they have fully gotten the goods. Think of the libs, lurkers, CBS fascists, DNC operatives, etc. our there reading FR right now, who can get on in a car in Texas, or on a LearJet if need be, just as quickly as any Freeper, and try to get there first to put the "fix in" (destroy evidence, coach Kinkos staff, whatever).
Other than that, folks, pop the popcorn and sit back and watch the further unraveling of CBS and the DNC machine over the next "48 Hours."
No more messed up than our case for x42's impeachment resting on what was on a blue unlaundered dress... What were those odds?
And Robin Rather is thick as thieves with Barnes.
Althought it might have been drafted on one of the in-house rental machines, but that would have been additionally stupid.
And, in accordance with Federal law (bet you didn't know it was) the transmitting fax machine's telephone number was printed across the top of each page.
And, considering that Kinkos is a business, they probably had their name up there next to the phone number, as is commonplace.
So clearly they called in CSI to figure this out.
: ^ )
It sure sounds like it. Strong talked to the WaPost about seeing the markings; it's clear they want to pin this on Burkitt.
"a kinkos is only 4.8 miles from the dnc headquarters in Texas"
Bwa-ha-ha!!! But wait....I thought it was Karl Rove? ;)
Many thnax,,Hope I can contribute ..I can sleep Nov 4th I'll worry about it then..
Not Burkett. He's got a cane and a limp. Too noticeable. Show pictures of Mapes. It could have been some DNC delivery person just as well. Whoever did the actual faxing has committed wire fraud.
Brownwood, Baird, Abilene.....they're all right together!!!!
It is beyond dumb. I know over 20 years ago we had portable fax machines to send in morning reports from remote well sites where we were drilling and completing oil and gas wells.
Even on the ancient radio phones it was like 1,2, 3, write up the report, put page in machine, dial number, drop phone onto fax machine cradle when you got the shrill fax signal.
Kinkos is so like, Keystone cops crapola.
But that still doesn't tell you WHO sent it.
Abilene is also where McMurry University is located.
"Rathergate Memo shows CBS FAX number is - 1-212-975-1998 "
We ought to be able to come up with a suitable fax to send CBS overnight demanding that they......
You're darned tootin' it is! Off with their talking heads!
