I'm not finding the specific range of the new missile. This article says that more information is forthcoming.
Iran to test fire strategic missile
ZANJAN (IRNA) -- Iran's revolutionary guards were to test fire a 'strategic missile' Saturday following the launch of new surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missiles Friday, a senior IRGC commander said.
The new missile will be test fired during war games being held on a vast swath of land in the western provinces of Zanjan, Hamedan and Kurdestan, the spokesman of the "Ashura 5" maneuvers, Hossein Salami said.
"With the induction and launch of this missile, the scope of the Ashura 5 maneuvers will practically increase several folds," he said.
The IRGC will publish soon further information about the missile, Salami added. (snipped)

and
They have submarines according to this article:
Could it be that Iran has already begun the pre-emptive strike against America by making life so difficult in Iraq and by proving support to insurgents? It might be they are deflecting attention away from their nuclear capabilities today, but tomorrow we will have to deal with one of the three members of the nations of evil being weeks or months away from a nuclear device. We must act quickly and decisively and make known to Iran that an attack against our troops in Iraq will be treated no differently than an attack against New York.
Iran has purchased submarines from Russia that could reach the shores of the United States. Imagine the Iranian Submarine Ship Mohammed popping up off the shore of New Jersey armed with a nuclear device holding us hostage until we agreed to purge the Middle East of Israel. (snipped)

"TORTURED" INDIAN CHRISTIAN BEFORE ISLAMIC COURT IN SAUDI ARABIA
Case Adds to United States Concern

Saudi Arabia under pressure to improve religious rights.

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA (ANS) -- A major Catholic news service joined an international campaign Friday, September 17, to free a "tortured" Christian guest worker from India who was reportedly produced before an Islamic court this week on charges of "spreading Christianity."
Brian O'Connor "was beaten and tortured and threatened with death unless he abjured his Christian faith," said AsiaNews, quoting several human rights groups, including Middle East Concern.
"Along with other associations, AsiaNews has embarked on an international campaign for Mr. OConnors release," the news organization said.
Another Christian news agency, Compass Direct, said it had learned that O'Connor's hearing in front of an Islamic court in Riyadh Wednesday, September 15, lasted 90 minutes.
His court hearing came as United States Secretary of State Colin Powell named Saudi Arabia as one of eight "countries of particular concern" for its "gross infringements of religious freedom."
CHARGES AGAINST HIM
"OConnor was informed for the first time of the legal charges against him, which include possession of alcohol, possession of pornographic movies and preaching Christianity.
It was not clear whether any evidence was produced to support the possession charges," said Compass, which has close contacts with persecuted Christians.
He has reportedly acknowledged that he led Bible studies for expatriate Christians in his home, which is illegal under Saudi Arabia's controversial policies.
O'Connor, who has been jailed since March, is among the estimated 6 million foreign workers most of whom are not Muslim. Middle East Concern said that the "OConnor led study sessions for Catholic immigrants from different countries." Following his arrest he "was beaten, tortured and received death threats. In April the Indian Embassy called on the Saudi government to state the motives for OConnors arrest but has not yet received any answer", MEC said in a release obtained by AsiaNews.
HARSH REPORT
In its unusual harsh report on Saudi Arabia, which raises the possibility of US sanctions, the State Department referred to these kind of situations, saying that "freedom of religion does not exist" in the Islamic kingdom.
"It is not recognized or protected under the country's laws, and basic religious freedoms are denied to all but those who adhere to the state-sanctioned version of Sunni Islam," the report adds.
"Citizens are denied the freedom to choose or change their religion, and noncitizens practice their beliefs under severe restrictions. Islam is the official religion, and all citizens must be Muslims. The Government limits the practice of all but the officially sanctioned version of Islam and prohibits the public practice of other religions," the State Department said.
POPE AGREES
It reflects comments from Pope John Paul II, who earlier deplored the reported lack of religious freedom in Saudi Arabia. The administration of United States President George W. Bush had come under increased pressure to condemn Saudi Arabia's alleged links to extreme Muslim groups and its harsh policies, following the September 11 terror attacks on American soil.
Washington has an uneasy friendship with Saudi Arabia, where thousands of American troops are stationed and which has been an important oil trade partner. Saudi Arabia officials however say the government is on a path of reforms and supports the Us-led war on terror.

And I think they are learning to be careful, this is what concerns me. They are beginning to have their biggest powwows in the ME. They are being tutored in civil rights here and voting rights etc. This infiltration is much more subtle than "Red Dawn"

Muslim, Jewish Officials Meet In France
SEPTEMBER 17, 2004
Paris
It's not every day that a radical Islamic organization whose spiritual mentor backs suicide bombings meets with a leading Jewish group.
But in a highly publicized visit Sept. 9, the Union of French Islamic Organizations, the country's largest Islamic group, met with the CRIF umbrella organization of French Jews at CRIF's offices here.
THIS is how they truly feel:
A Pakistani supporter of Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), a six party hardline Islamic alliance holds a placard during anti-U.S demonstration in Islamabad September 11, 2004. Pakistan's main opposition leader and member of an Islamic religious alliance accused U.S. President George W Bush on Saturday of using September 11 and war on terror for political gains and to pursue an anti-Muslim agenda.
Here's a little from our friend:Agha Saeed, founder of the American Muslim Alliance

Travel Warning
United States Department of State
Bureau of Consular Affairs
Washington, DC 20520
This information is current as of today, Sun Sep 19 2004 02:22:16 GMT-0700.
IRAQ
September 17, 2004
This Travel Warning updates information on the continuing dangerous security situation in Iraq following the transfer of governing authority to the Interim Iraqi Government on June 28, 2004. The U.S. Embassy in Baghdad was established on the same day. The security threat to all American citizens in Iraq remains extremely high, with a high risk of attacks on civilians. International organizations have reduced their staff in Iraq as a result of attacks, bombings and threats to civil aviation. This supersedes the Travel Warning of July 20, 2004.
The Department of State continues to strongly warn U.S. citizens against travel to Iraq, which remains very dangerous. Remnants of the former Baath regime, transnational terrorists, and criminal elements remain active. Attacks against military and civilian targets throughout Iraq continue. Targets include hotels, restaurants, police stations, checkpoints, foreign diplomatic missions, and international organizations and other locations with expatriate personnel. These attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries of American citizens, including those doing humanitarian work. There is credible information that terrorists have targeted civil aviation. The Department of State warns of the danger associated with using civilian aircraft to enter or depart Iraq, as well as the risks to road transportation described below. In addition, there have been planned and random killings, as well as extortions and kidnappings. Military operations continue. There are daily attacks against Multinational Forces - Iraq (MNF-I) throughout the country.
All vehicular travel in Iraq is extremely dangerous. There have been numerous attacks on civilian vehicles, as well as military convoys. Attacks occur throughout the day, but travel at night is exceptionally dangerous. Travel in or through Ramadi and Fallujah, travel between al-Hillah and Baghdad, and travel between the International Zone and Baghdad International Airport is particularly dangerous. Occasionally, U.S. Government personnel are prohibited from traveling to select areas depending on prevailing security conditions. There continues to be heavy use of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) and/or mines on roads, particularly in plastic bags, soda cans, and dead animals. Grenades and explosives have been thrown into vehicles from overpasses, particularly in crowded areas. Travel should be undertaken only when absolutely necessary and with the appropriate security.
The U.S. Embassy is located in the International Zone. The Embassy can provide only limited emergency services to U.S. citizens in Iraq. At present travel to and from the International Zone is extremely limited. The U.S. Embassy does not provide visa services. American citizens who choose to visit or reside in Iraq despite this Travel Warning are urged to pay close attention to their personal security, avoid crowds, especially rallies or demonstrations and to inform the U.S. Embassy of their presence in Iraq.
American citizens may obtain the latest security information or other information about Iraq by calling the U.S. Embassy, located in the International Zone, at: 1-240-553-0584, or by e-mail: usconsulbaghdad@state.gov or via the U.S. Embassys website: http://iraq.usembassy.gov. Their after hours number is 1-914-822-5473.
Updated information on travel and security in Iraq may be obtained from the Department of State by calling 1-888-407-4747 within the United States, or, from overseas, 1-317-472-2328. For further information, please consult the Consular Information Sheet for Iraq, the current Worldwide Caution and the Middle East and North Africa Public Announcement, all of which are available on the Bureau of Consular Affairs Internet website at http://travel.state.gov.
"The coded messages deciphered recently have revealed to us that he was not only co-ordinating pre-election terrorist acts in the US...
Great, very reassuring.
The word strategic is the key word here. Would seem to indicate ability to strike another country. If they'd simply identify it as an ICBM, it'd be so much easier to justify a pre-emptive strike with one of our own.
What give with all the activity on the Nevada/Cal border? Is that normal?
AAwww Traveller I am so flattered!:) It is good to here from you!
AQ don't use dates and incidents to time its attacks .
****I didn't think so, we are just going to be surprised one day again. I don't think they are going to put any secret clues on the net either. The thing is this is so strange to us that surf the net that we want to know all we can about YOU.
